yeah.. those things suck to carry but once you're ripped it's totally worth it.

@mettreenmusique those things arent hard. i learned on em, 5/4 contras. they are easier to carry than sousas.

@Teaminaura i meant moreso the fact that they actually require muscle, whereas sousas do not. i mean, once the muscle is there, it's a lot easier for sure. just not when you don't have the muscle ;)

@ChocolateBear865 interesting you say this, did you know William Bell won an orchestra audition on an Eb Sousaphone? It's the players that "blow weiner", not the Sousaphone itself. Plus keep in mind that the sousaphone was a creation by the greatest band master of all time JP Sousa, although it is more or less a modern glorified recording bell helicon. Besides, you can't ride a horse or bicycle and play the contra...

"the rack" is commonly refered to marching contras when they put the tuba accross their shoulders behind their head like a rack. comonly used in this sentence... TUBAS RACK IT!
