This theme is awesome much better than that crappy one that Disney pick I don't know why they didn't use this. This theme has more energetic feel and it fits the apocalyptic feel to RPM since it's at the end of timeline with all the buildings and cities obliterated all except Corinth. Venjix isn't dead he was just imprisoned in Scott's morpher at the last scene of RPM.
@ItzTimbit Actually, the Producers at the time were Disney. They had no idea the show was gonna be continued by Saban, so they reran, oh I'm sorry 'remastered' (groan) Mighty Morphin. Saban bought back Power Rangers from Disney and made Samurai. And chronologically in the Power Rangers Universe, RPM IS the last stand. Its right at the end of the timeline, way after SPD and Time Force.
@Willy105 Well, if we're gonna be as accurate as possible concerning the Power Rangers timeline, SPD is said to take place in the near future to Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury and Samurai. A few years after Samurai I would think. Possibly. Its all up for debate. Time Force is in the distant future, so that comes after SPD. And the reason RPM is at the very end of the timeline, is because the world has now been completely destroyed. No buildings except Corinth City.
@Willy105 Possible indeed. Like I said, nothing's for certain. Neither Saban nor Disney have placed strict guidelines on the timeline. So its up to the interpretation of the fans.
@Kaagh178 Thing is the red dot shows Venjix isnt gone so that leaves the door open for another team of rangers. RPM is the end of the time line, for now. Venjix could mutate into a far worse villian or another villian use venjix technology to become stronger therefor the new rangers r needed.
@jandaniel919 It's 20x better. This has the feel of power rangers. It's strong, energetic, empowering, heroic, and catches your attention with ease. The other one is..ok but it doesn't have all those things that makes this one SO much better. They should've gone with this, without a doubt.

I think I know why they didn't use it anyway:
The lyrics say: "This is the last stand for humanity..."
I think the producers changed their mind about ending the series after this, therefore we have the other, crappy theme...
