  • china is third world they hAVE NO HISTORY ASIA IS BACKWARD AND THEY DRESS BADLY

  • How dare the westerners claim that China only cop all they do is LYING!

  • I like ancient song in this video.. It makes me relax while I am doing other things

  • So that's what happened to Chinese's stupid population... they flew them off the planet. The lazy ones died being worked to death on the great wall.

  • Well ye know, adopt, adapt, improve, make it as destructive as possible and apply it at the right point of time - thats how empires are made and conquered - the arrogance is just a nasty sideffect...

  • Great information

  • great info for if your doing assignments and other stuff like that

  • Westerns/Europeans have no qualms with taking other peoples inventions, land, ideals, valuables or people... That's why they are a Super Power.

  • @FoxxyJah liar look in wikipedia List of inventors and List of inventions named after people China give to this world few things but other stuff are build by europeans

  • The claim about Chinese inventing flying is a complete distortion of facts and misinformation. A kite does not fly, it glides. Before the Wright brothers invented the first heavier than air power engined plane there have been numerous gliding pilots including the German Otto Lillienthal, but the Wrights knew that in order to be considered a flying machine it had to take off with its own power and sustain it during the flight. They knew that gliding alone was not enough to be considered flying.

  • Two people are European haters :P

  • That magnetic invention was recorded before Chinese empire age.

  • they should make a video on what chinese didnt invent, i guess it should be much shorter

  • @wangzongxiang123 Before 1700s: calculus, glass, optical lens, steam power, muskets, alphabet, globe, mechanical clocks, wheel, longitude/latitude cartography, chain mail, arches, concrete, banking, matches, soap etc.

Ideas are meant to be given and taken. No race nor culture has a monopoly on human creativity.

  • i dont like it when im all getting into it and then it gets cut off and i have to look for another part..

  • To create a shorter series i am starting to think they should have just made a video on...what the Chinese didn't invent until 1000 a.d...jk but seriously Marco Polo couldn't have done much without the Chinese

  • GO China! :) and it seems everything isn't just made in china but invented there 2.

  • The only reason why china is so behind now is because of the last 200 years. Mainly cause of many wars that slaughter their resources. The invasion of the west and japan just killed china. China right now is modernizing just wait 20 years. China will be the most high tech place in earth. They already have 4th generation jet fighters and mange to copy the stealth fighter.

  • While i appreciate the Chinese and believe they are very smart i feel like this video is a long rant about how the Chinese invented something and then the western world found out a good use for it.

  • i wish, when humans were evolving someone stopped the breeding of the european race, they have screwed over the earth, sooooooooooooooo much! mainly racism.

  • @tekniiques So the rape of Nanking...who caused that.

  • @tekniiques You do realize the irony of this statement, right?

  • Pffttt.... The Chinese will try and discredit everything that makes the west, the west..!!

  • wo wo wo, hold your horses''many still believe that the Wright brothers became the first human beings to fly'' that's bullshit. the Wright Brother were the first men in POWERED flight! powered meaning in a craft heavier than air, driven on by something else than wind or muscle. I noticed this show is full of these little ''mistakes''.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 i think china best invetion is martial arts. best ever next to music and other sports

  • im not english nor American or Chinese. i do live in England and know how arogant racist English people are.

Today i learned a new thing about England i didnt really know.

the English are morons thats for sure they stole from Africa America and so many others and the whole industrial revolution that english claim it come from england.

Im sure they stole everything from China.!!!!

4th of July for Scotland United Ireland and a new American colony called england !!!

  • woah.... what the heck! mankind's history is full of copies!

  • Thanks for the videos. My class is watching it in History.

  • Dude this is frickin crazy... seems like all the relevant inventions had chinese origins. Or perhaps they were done first in China. Respect.

  • i'd rather have the world like it was in china still.. it would be a much funner richer life than the one we have now where all we do is work for the government enjoy our daily rituals...

  • Life is what you make of it my friend, so is the government. Are you paying your taxes for the fat cat with 9 houses and 13 mistresses, or are you paying them for the schizophrenic homeless man who just wants a 50 cent can of tuna? Ritual has always been a part of human life, only the details have changed.

  • @trousien Boo ya. Western post-modern consumerism is just as that which it creates: stinking piles of garbage.

  • There isn't a need to use technology as a force multipler. Of course, it was a stuck-up in the mind.

But then again, isn't it China again conquering the world again with its manpower through consuming power, cheap labour and talents?

  • Well, I can only say why most inventions by the Chinese were not further improve wasn't due to their arrogance that Western people could have surpass them. It was simply because they did not saw the need to.

Dynastic China was a unified, influential country. It was pretty much sufficient on its own. Moreover, its neighbouring countries were generally peaceful.

The one very advantage of fact that the Chineses has and always have is manpower.

  • China came up with many ideas that were proven to be useful till modern day, but many examples shown in the video shows that Europeans further developed those ideas into practical use (e.g. planes from kites, helicopter from the rotary toy) while for the Chinese those were merely for enjoyments. Another example is gunpowder. Chinese uses it for fireworks; Europeans use it to kill and conquer other nations. Ironically many Chinese were being killed by their own invention.

  • Ummm, after China invented Gunpowder, they also invented rockets, guns and cannons. When China have 3000 cannons on the Great Wall pointing at Mongols, Europe was still developing the first cannon prototype. Guns and Cannons was passed to Europe after the Mongol got their hands on the Chinese guns and cannons.

  • True, but the Chinese never really took advantage of their advancement and further refine and improve their ideas. The Europeans gradually surpassed them and by the end of 19th century, China's technology was at least 1 or 2 centuries behind. Had they continued their creativity, China would be a very different country today and perhaps the entire geopolitical map of the world would be unrecognizable to us.

  • Actually, the Chinese did keep up with the technology, they just never changed their weapons. Back then, they were too arrogant to think that European would ever surpass them so they kept using the same weapon they used 1000 years ago. When the Eight-Nation Alliance invaded and attacked China, they broke into the Imperial weapon storages and found small quantities of guns far more accurate then the European guns. Essentially, if they mass produced, they would have won.

  • The notion that Chinese never used gunpowder in Warfare is a silly myth that has been propagated for far too long. While the Mongol Empire was expanding from Central Asia, to Middle East and into East Europe, the Song Dynasty Chinese were already using gunpowder weapons to repel Mongol hordes in the 13th century. First mention of Chinese use of Gunpowder was during Tang Dynasty around mid 900 AD.

  • europeans just a bunch of copiers hahaha

  • @BboyChunGViN You have to laugh yourself about this statement, don't you? You see how ridiculous this is. There are so many stupid allegations that do not exist, for example the ones to the invention of the airplan, parachute and helicopter. A stupid children's toy where the inventor based his invention of the helicopter on??? Hahahahaha. Everybody knows how much of cheap thieves of ideas Chinese are. Just go there and have a look.

  • @mushroomtung I lived in China and I have Chinese friends, to whom I can tell what I think, because they respect me and they respect what I say althought it might be different to what they probably would like to hear. I didn't talke disrepectfully of the Chinese civilzation as such, which I admire. So please don't put me this shoe on. My point only was that I feel angry about the fact that ideas, inventions and products are being copied in China massively.

  • @mushroomtung If you cannot take this criticism, I am very sorry, but if you are not allowed to critisize a relationship and friendship (which I have with many Chinese) becomes shallow very quickly. I know that it is a cultural aspect in China that u cannot express ur criticism as directly as I am used to do it. So perhaps this is why you and some others get offended by what I said and see it as an offense to the Chinese civilization as a whole. But this would be wrong.

  • @mushroomtung And the criticism I made does not refrainn me from saying that China in the past already was more advanced than Europe of Americas (which then didn't exist yet). I know quite well China's history and also about Zheng He, the great Admiral on the sea who built the world's greatest fleet.

So please have my appologies for you should feel offended by how I said it, but I would stand to what I said.

  • @mushroomtung I would like to take this offense and sincerely apologize to you. This is certainly not how I think and feel.

  • @joakimveyron funny thing is, you stated the Chinese copied Europeans.

But the Chinese made the inventions first.

Clearly, the Chinese only invented a time machine to go forward in time and used it to steal ideas.

    PS: this is a joke.

  • @joaquinveyron

u r making very cheap accusations against the Chinese as thieves. this is what civilized people wouldn't agree to.

if you have to criticize, you have every right to do it but in a very decent manner.

no one is offended unless by your attitude.

PS: i am not a Chinese.

the concept of helicopter came from an ancient Chinese toy. if you cannot digest the fact, you have some motivation or bad intention against the Chinese.

constructive criticism is good, but not yours

  • @BboyChunGViN Yeah and I might be copying this clip onto my pc. (^_^)

  • @BboyChunGViN hmmm europeans a bunch of copiers...?? everything in modern china.... is copied from Europe & America...... the same bridges that have been built in china between 1995- and now.... were all built in the west 150 years ago.... Cable Stay Bridges, Suspension Bridges, Arch Bridges, Cantilever brigest etc etc.... Skyrise apeared in the West 80 years before China copied... Cars, Fridges, Electricity, everything around you idoit is the invented by us... better genetics

  • @cttn101 hm europeans copied a lot 2000 years ago.

  • @cttn101 westerners use guns, firearms, paper, go to restaurants, use compasses, print, usecalenders, martial arts brought to the west etc and your point is? Everything is made in china these days even if u disagree with labor, the effort paid off with chinas economy expanding being the 2rd largest overtaking japan. China is no longer dependent of the US dollar for trade whilst western civilization is collapsing due to their huge debt crisis and war. u are a fool

  • @cttn101 yea, you have a point but my opinion is that neither east or west are copiers. they ADOPT the best of technology from eachother. if you look to Greece and Rome, the Roman Empire adopted countless numbers of advancements. so in the past few hundred years, China, in a way, fell behind technologically and adopted the superior technology of the west. but, as an american, i can say that Europe did adopt many things from ancient china, that american later adopted aswell.

  • @BboyChunGViN I know, White people lol

  • @BboyChunGViN really why then today China love to copy European stuff like cars, airplanes and others stuff

  • For more info on Chinese invention go to the following website:

    w w w. youtube. com/ user/ HanSunTzuArtOFWAR

  • China people is always smart

  • @LuvAu Yes, Chinese are always smart in stealing other ideas. And then make a cheap and bad copy of it. Chinese can copy DVDs perhaps, but everything that has to do with mechanics everything they copy breaks down anyhow: watches, cars, elevators, the list is endless ...

  • @joaquinveyron

You're trying very hard to discredit the Chinese aren't you?

  • @guibin Why is stating facts trying hard to discredit Chinese?

  • @joaquinveyron Why are you claiming that ideas are stolen? Ideas have origins, but they are not possessions. Everything has an origin that are based off other basic ideas. You cannot claim that modern European inventions were completely original, neither can you claim that the Chinese did not base many of their modern inventions off of Western inventions. There is no clear line in the origin of ideas and I'd appreciate it if you stopped making such ignorant and racist claims.

  • @Hemitris You are completely right in saying that there are hardly any inventions that are not based on already existing ideas. But that´s not what I am talking about at all (and you know it). Stolen is proprietary know-how and technology in terms of technical drawings, specifications, material composites, recipes, but also brand names and much more. That´s daily life when you work in China. So, what I said i neither ignorant nor racist, but reality.

  • @joakimveyron Yes, that is what you are talking about, but what you're trying to imply that because the people in China are reverse engineering and copying the technology of other countries is that their original inventions are to be discredited. In fact, you just made the point that these ancient inventions have nothing to do with the current types of "copying" going on today in China so there was in fact not even a basis to up that truthful, but irrelevant fact.

  • @Hemitris And so explain me, please, where the relation lays, as posited in this video, between a children´s toy and the modern helicopter? The video almost goes as if the modern helicopter would have been possible if this children toy hadn´t been invented. That´s not only more than far-fetched, but highly laughable. There are thousands objects in nature that move in the air like rotors of a helicopter.

  • @joakimveyron Furthermore, you called all Chinese cheap thieves of ideas. Racism is the generalization of an entire race based on a single trait, so yes, it was racist and ignorant. What the video is suggesting that the idea of the helicopter blades was based off the children's toy on the same physics principles. The video, and no one else, is suggesting that because the helicopter's blades were based off a Chinese toy, that credit of the invention of the helicopter goes to the Chinese.
