I just orderd f10 from lllreptile. The vet said my king snake was too small for injection. She is a baby mex black. With respitory infection and she's fading quickly :( I'm so sad I'm doing everything I can to keep her healthy right now untill the f10 comes but I can't afford a fogger. Should I just put like a little with some water on the cage floor in the corner and let it turn to humidity . She's in a small tub for now and normally a small cap of water gets the humidity to 86. Please help

Hey guys, I have a pet red tail boa that I am not sure whether or not I should be concerned about. Basically, when he breathes it sounds like he has a stuffy nose and it makes a faint popping or clicking noise, like if a human had a cold. So far he does not have anything wrong with the inside of his mouth (no mucus buildup or foaming). Should I be concerned that this is a respiratory infection? If so, what should I do?

@KiLLaKRaBz mine has this same problem from time to time. just raise the humidity for now and that "stuffy nose" should go away in a couple of days. if it gets worse i would take it to a vet. hope this helps!

a little tip i have been using for 4 years about stuck sheds is using a sock.

Take a large sock, make the sock damp with warm water, put the snake in the sock, and tie the sock shut, put it back in the cage, and in about 20 mins take the snake out, and all should be off. works like a charm for me :)

@ballpython110 all you have to do is mist it more often and make sure that their isnt as much escape for air. If you mist more and raise the temp the humidity will shoot up. you can also add an airator to a water dish and it will splash causing a rais in humidity

I don't know if someone can answer me but I have a ball python and I suspect him to have a upper RI but I see no bubbles, his nose is clear, he is eating well (really agressive eater) but I can ear him breath (little weezing sound but really subtle) and I saw a littlebit of gunk on the side of his tank (like if someone sneezed on the window) but I don't have any specialized vet near...can he heals by himselft (I think his tank was too cold at night) or I NEED to get him to a vet?

@iSim0641 about the best thing you could do for yourself at this point would be to heat up the caging with hot side at 85 to 90 plus degrees and cool side at 75 to 85 plus and keep caging exceptionally clean and if are using a screen top caging get rid of it and use a sudjested cage from maybe animal plastics or other professional breeding caging supliers the screen tops loose all heat and get to hot on one side and too cold on secondary side if this does not clear your prblms get to local vet

The upper respatory infection really sucks, I know how the snakes feels. I actually get that several times a year being that i have asthma and considering the fact that my only allergy is Humdity. Provent a mite works like a charm and keeps working for up to a year after you spray it. My boys got mites and this got rid of them quick :)
