I think so. Not only that, but pushing to cars on and off, and operating the grip. Those guys really have to put some muscle in to their job.

I've heard that the hardest requirement to become a cable car operator is just the sheer physical strength required to handle the grip. If you meet a guy who's a cable car gripman, don't challenge him to an arm wrestling match, at least not if there's money involved.
