@AGuyInAG if you can't land binds... your playing the wrong champion o_o: having q up 4 seconds sooner will save u or your allies more in a team fight and deals more overall damage then a spell that has worse scaling, higher mana costs,and lower ap rations... If u can land bind, then my advice is pure gold ;D

1. That's why I run some CDR runes.

2. It does NOT deal more overall damage, I can't stress that enough. Listen, and listen close. Let's take a specific case. Assuming you're proficient enough to land a binding on TWO champions, and land Singularity on at least 2 champions. Assume 200 AP, mid game ish. Binding will do 260 + 140(AP) plus 130 + 70 for the second champion. That's a total of 600 damage. Now take Singularity. (240 + 120(AP))*champs hit. That's at least 360.

@mangasaint But remember, assuming you'll hit at least 2 champions, it'd do at least 720 damage. AT LEAST. Bind cannot do more than 600 because of the max 2 champions hit. 720 damage on a 10 second cooldown is much better than 600 on a 11 second cooldown.

3. Binding is not as useful for damage as singularity in lane. Not arguable. Singularity hits through minions, binding hits through one, and only half damage at that.

4. U can argue the mana cost all you want but the reality is that at level 5, singularity costs a mere 10 more mana per cast. That's about 2 seconds of mana regen, if you're taking the right masteries and runes. Completely negligible.

5. Your opponents aren't bots. They don't run into bindings. Simple. If you're high enough elo, they actually DODGE. CRAZY HUH?! That's why I say singularity is the consistent damage. It's an AoE spell, much easier to land and harder to dodge.

I've been playing lux as my main for a long time now ^^ I'll tell u a secret that no guide ever says. Level up light binding first! It does more damage, cost less mana and saves u mana since singularity will cost less, and reduces cd with each point. If u lvl up singularity first- your slow/ harass is better but it costs more mana,it doesn't get better cd per lvl, and won't save u or get kills as much as a faster cooling light binding. Also it's awesome to bait people into thinking u do no dama

@mangasaint Absolutely...not. Lucent Singularity is your CONSISTENT damage, level that first. It's much harder to land a bind than the AoE of Singularity, also, you won't be able to do as much AoE in a team fight, nor will you be able to poke past the tanks.

@figtmen5 if you really want to try her, you should. since you've played for 2 weeks i assume you're relatively new to the game. it's okay to try new champions around lower levels because that's where people aren't quite as competitive and you have more room to practice.
