Get it this way children, the better gear you have in pvp the better chances you have to survive and kill. :) same with PvE.

Are u fucking stupid?..i shouldn't even have to explain why u need good gear for raid..i pvp is about SKILL..not gear..a scrub in outland greens cal kill a player in 5/5 brutal if they know how to play their class..Gear is dependant in raids because if u cant throw out enough dps to kill the boss in time it will enrage...or if u dont have enough stamina to survive a certain ability (ie: High warlord Naj'entus)..but oh well..pvp scrubs will always be pvp scrubs

Learn to read before you post. "HARDLY about gear", means gear plays a part, but in a lot of fights just having common sense outweighs gear.

All the gear in the world wont help you against Najentus if your players are too retarded to loot the spines.

And you dont need to lie about pvp by claiming someone in greens can kill a 5/5 Brutal. No amount of skill can help you if the other player's hitting you for 3/4 times what you hit them.

Wow scrub who said were talking about how hard it is to get gear? pve might take longer to gear out in but in the end your only gonna spam the same 5 buttons. In pvp it requires you to use 90% of the spells you have been given and a lot more tactic. I do not see strats on how to take on every team in pvp like i do pve so.

WOW how the hell dose pvp only require gear? i know you only have a 1400 2s 1300 3s and 5s. PVE is almost all gear and i am not saying you wont need gear in pvp but it is way less gear dependent. I hit 1900 in my 2v2 team as a resto shaman with 310 resil in S4. That was almost all S1 gear but i was unable to get into any SSC - BT raids because the the raid requires a certain amount of plus healing and mana and if the tank and healers dont reach it they wont kill the boss.

Here's a clue, Raids are hardly about gear.

Gear does not help you control ghosts.

Gear does not help you soak Bloodboils

Gear does not help you dodge Council's AoE

Gear does not help you run from Fatal Attraction.

Gear does help you avoid raid wiping due to Conflags.

PvP is way more gear dependent since a scrub who got carried to Vengeful can kill a skilled player who's wearing his pve gear in lieu of his pvp gear.

tbh: every tank is a good in a way, paladin is insane multitanker and same avoidance or even better 'seems more constant' avoidance but too fix agro since most spells do a fix dmg they use to tank... Dr00d is nice for eating dmg its weakness is in crushing while warrior is same as paladin but not that fix tps. End of mysery now... There are fights I wouldn't use protadin for tanking since its suxx for protadin, but get own with it.

feral druids can take a crush. ive done a little bit of comparing.when i tanked azgalor and tide walker (the only fights i remembered to really compare) on my feral druid, i noticed that the crushes didnt do that much more damage than a normal hit. Being armor capped is also a factor in taking less damage from the crushes. i dont see why people think prot pallies suck at tanking. they're awsome in hyjal.

IF your raid is having trouble on the ghosts they should try the gorefiend simulator. It's a small java app that gives you a very good idea on how to do the constructs, and it's about twice as fast as the actual game so if you can master it, you can do the boss easily. I forgot how to get it but I know if you google "Gorefiend Simulator" it'll be one of the top options.

Yer the threat thing is fine, but dmg migitation? I (and the rest of the healers) were doing our best to keep the tank topped but our tank got hit hard.

IMO there isnt any boss until this point that hits harder. Its not as hard to heal as other fights, but tanks can take a lot of damage very quickly
