Why were the stalks and husks dry? Was that corn intended for ethanol production or livestock feed? It didn't look food grade to me. I 've watched corn harvesting here in Florida and they were green. Swwetest corn I've ever tasted. Thanks for sharing.
@sunsetreptiles i do know ive operated and worked on john deere 9600, 9610, 9750, 9770s, international 715, 1480, case ih 1660,1688s, new holland TR97, gleaner n6,m2,r60,r62,r72, and lexion470, both sides of my family farm all over montana and north dakota i know alot about certain combines i do my studying on all american brands becuz ive always loved harvest season!
i hate to tell you manbut gleaners are junk theres a guy that farms a place where we live and he's got six of them damn things and he has to pull a trailer with them all the time for parts and john deeres the best you can get
i hate to tell you but your an idiot, even if this was true which it isn't they are probably 35+ years old and any combine that old is going to break down quite a bit no matter what color it is. How much experience do YOU have with a Gleaner? Why don't you take a look at what company had the first self propelled combine, or first hydro combine, or how about first hydro-electric controls? Quit talking crap about something that you dont even know about.
your full of shit man i drive green and thats the only kind out there not gleaner or case or new holland it they aint that freaking old maybe mid 90's they r shit
Yea whatever I own 2 90's Gleaners and i only had one breakdown all year and guess what it was? One bad guage that made me think my alternator was going out which it wasn't.
Just a quick question. How fast are you picking at? just wondering because we demoed a gleaner last year and we could get it past 4 mph with a 6 row head, what about you.

@huskerfan1044 wait, i thought JD had the first self propelled combine... first production combine that is, could have been gleaner... idk
tractorboy8420 1 year ago
@tractorboy8420 Nope Gleaner had the first self propelled combine in 1923. You can google 1923 and Gleaners and it will say that.
