With the cannon in a 45 degree angle you get the farthest distances in those kind of experiments.

For more pressure load use tube and splices on the bottom 1/8th. This will give a double wall effect and if done correctly can easily handle the high pressure if you use it as a potato cannon. Sure the explosion pressure is less than the rated psi capacity. But over many cycles that tube is expanding like a rubber band and getting Quick chilled

its really hard to make, you have to have a special co2 tank, and box, etc. you can buy dry ice in some supermarkets, or check your local phonebook for ice manufact. companies

Yip real easy to make just get normal ice, get a container say a plastic lunch box (make sure this is really clean otherwise it wont work) and add a few of those silicon crystals you know the ones that come in the little packets that say "do not eat" close it up and leave for 2-3 hours, if it doesn't work at first dont give up because your container probably wasn't clean enough or try added more silicon packets.

I think a solution to the explode on impact bomb problem would be to make a diet coke/mento bottle as the ammo. It might explode with the launch and you would need an open field.

Well to make one blow on impact I think you can just let a bomb grow with C02 but not enough, like put dry ice barely enough for it to just grow, so when it hits something though its already hard and it will blow
