Travesty. Heffernan probably erred by not taking down either in regulation or OT; I guess Krieger must've been very tough on top, but he was just as tough to score a TD on. As Gable says, don't leave it to the ref to decide.

what was the criteria used to determine the outcome. Was it 6 seconds riding time? From what I watched, it looked like the decision should have gone to Heffernan. He was clearly more aggressive on his feet.

terrible, terrible officiating nonsense. krieger was a damn good one, but he did nothing to offensively win this bout. heff really, truly, got screwed.

i believe iowa was going for their tenth title in a row when iowa state won this one and stopped their win streak
