  • i still love it and im still listening to it some things just never change.

  • Ah yes, back when you could wall into a BurgerKing and not be greeted by a staff of illegal aliens!

  • OOOOOH ! YOU PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE TALIKING LIKE THAT SAYING THERE'S NO GOD AND USING THE N WORD, AMONG SOME OTHER HORIBLE THING THAT I JUST READ , SHAME ON YOU ,I CAN TELL WHERE YOUR GOING !

  • im still listening to it

  • i wanna thank the person who posted this, i 've been reliveing some very golden moments ,i just listened to it again.

  • i cant stop listening to it , i love it so much , my whole life just flashed before me as i was watching it.

  • i absolutley love this song , i'd like to dedicate this commercial and song to a store manager of burger king that i worked with way back in the 80's even though this person is no longer around in my life ,the memory still lingers on , so this is for her wherever she is.

  • i was 10 years old when this commercial came out, i forgot about it until i saw it again and it all came back to me , i loved the song back then and i love it even more now , i had no idea back then that when i became a teenager that i would end up working there for half my life .

  • 0:44

You gotta be kidding me? The sausage is smaller than the bun

  • America's love of burgers went to a unhealthy relationship with burgers.

  • Everyone outside, no one playing video games. I remember and miss those carefree days.

  • @carsonky I miss them too. :-(

  • i was 7 and i remember this ad,,god they dont make em like they used too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 0:36 it makes you feel bad about yourself...for looking at that kid...poor kid...

  • This isn't the Burger King I grew up with. This is something I would expect from McDonalds. I always thought of BK to go with the more liberal approach that wreaks to the culture of the hip modern youth, being the one famous for expanding their menu and catering more to each individual customer, unlike the conservative, traditional, good old fashioned American mass produced fast food restaurant image McD's is notorious for, now with a sever lack of commas. I'm SO getting thumbs down for this.

  • how did i go from watching the bed intruder song to this?

  • they are riding 0:11 ;)

  • What's up with the theolgy disscussion in the commentary of an old Burger King commercial?

  • This is where Obama is taking us, too... Be careful America. DO NOT LET HIM WIN ANOTHER ELECTION! He is an admitted Muslim!

  • I say that, because they are the radical extremists that do NOT believe that all people should live in peace and quiet. They are modern day Crusaders, who DEMAND you believe as they do (It's the ONLY correct belief) and will force their beliefs upon you with violence and bloodshed, if necessary. Read the Koran. It says of itself, that anything written is to be ignored if a later passage contradicts it. The later part of the Koran is the angry part. Thus, the violence inherent in the religion.

  • Jesus Christ WAS a living, breathing person, but he was "The Beatles" of his day. He was what was wanted and needed then. He was nothing more than a prophet, the same as all the other before and after. Flesh and blood. There is not ONE religion that has it all right, even though they ALL have SOME of it right. Religion is a way to make a person feel good about himself, thus allowing those around him to live their own lives in peace and relative safety. Until the Muslims enter the picture.

  • There is no god. We are animals just like all the other animals, and when my physical machine stops working, that's all there is. No afterlife, no coming back, no spirit. The bible is a fairy tale, and EVERYTHING in it can be explained away with science and hard, well-know facts of today. Back then, certainly, it was "miraculous" and "spiritual", but it's JUST a book, written by MANY men's OPINIONS of what they've seen and heard. Keep your "faith", I'll rely on what I can touch and know.

  • Sad. May GOD have mercy on you at the judgement.

  • @mbk423 I agree. As kids, we only went to fast food joints as a treat or for some special occasion. These days, fast food is its own food group lol

  • This commercial shows that back then Niggers were civilised. What happend to black America? They are all gang banging crack smoking baggy clothes wearing rapping animals. Thats what happens when you give a nigger too many rights

  • @TheBossMalaka the person who posted this is what's wrong with this country. the mindset that writes racial slurs like this is very sad. but GOD loves this person too.

  • @l114113 I know God loves me but he hates Niggers otherwise he would have never made them niggers

  • @TheBossMalaka Why you hate niggers so much for?! Thats where you came from! a recessive gene from albinos of which can be made by black people!

so when you come face to face with GOD, Smack him in the face, spit on him and call him a nasty assed nigger making god!!

And you will come back on earth as one!

  • @mogulsports back in the 1970s, '80s, and early '90s, Americans were more active than they are now. I grew up during that time, and as a kid, my eathing habits were not great at all. But we got out and played. Back then, it was punishment when we couldn't go outside. Now my cousin, my age, has to force his tween kids to go out!!

  • 4 open registers. MAN I MISS THE 70'S...... check out the size of those Whoppers man, they are the size of manhole covers

  • Did they say, they make 600 000 000 burgers a year??????????????

  • Oh, I do miss the '70's. When women were women and burgers were burgers!

  • wow that's what i call a big burger at 0:20. do u really have that big burgers in usa? i wish i could buy one of these in germany.

  • @glowhand yep it's called the whopper and also it looks much bigger because it's in a small childs hands

  • I applaude this commercial that was when a whopper was a whopper for CHRISTS sakes did you see the whopper that kid was holding it was bigger than his fucking face...SHIT his old man had a hold of his shirt so the little bastard wouldn't fall over..Oh well time to jerk off and head back to work at burger king....

  • God damn that DJ made my day! I mean, what?

  • I got horny when I watched this then I threw up.

  • Just Remember "It takes to hands to handle a Whopper" . Ad on billboard when I was stationed in Jacksonville , Florida !

  • *word blurred out for safety*, now i have this stuck in my head

  • HOLY F***!!! That Burger @ 0:20 Is Huge!!!

  • Anyone know who the woman is singing this song? Sounds like the same woman that sang a 70's song called..."The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".

  • @texasghost Joan Baez

  • Kinda makes you wanna nuke the Russians

  • dam...the buns looked huge back then

  • keep pressing 4 on your keybord

  • The singer on this commercial is Florence Warner, not Judy Collins although there is some similarity between their voices and that of Bonnie Kolack. Florence gets my vote as the greatest commercial singer of all time, male or female -- and that includes barry manilow. She also did "Sealy Posturepedic" and Dorman's cheese, if memory serves. Voice of an angel.

  • i remember these commercials

  • Everything at BK taste like ass.

  • 0:08 that woman can ride me like that all the time

  • why does it look like the people are struggling to take bites?

  • I'd forgotten this one. Great song & ad!

  • lol @ 0:34 to 0:36

  • HaHaHaHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What the fuck just happened??

  • Burger King is so disgusting, Even the people being paid to eat the burgers in this commercial don't like it.

  • this is the most theatrical burger king commercial ever

  • I want to hug a sheep! XD

  • LOL! Because America is the only country with fat people. Congrats all you ignorant freaks.

  • could we have a few more mentions of "America" thrown into the insipid lyrics here?

  • Very good to show children eating burgers - no wonder the americans are FAT as their burgers! ^^ And the meat in this commercial looks ugly!!

  • i agree that there wasnt much obesity in the 70s because people were more active and there were no computers or cellphones so pple got out and did stuff

  • I remember this. Damn I'm getting old.

  • I lived through the 1970s those were good time the Disco and afro hairdo and Saturday Night Fever and Star War and Jimmy Carter with his crooked smile LOL

  • @GhostryderRebel You got my vote at Star Wars

  • Obesity rate back in the 70s was low but now in 2010 alot of fat people in the U.S.A. to much stuff they put in the fast food is what making everyone fat!

  • Who sings this song? It's pretty. :)

  • @sweetlilchickie1985 It's Florence Warner.

  • How ironic! That was the very first thing I asked my self! (How come there are no obese poeple?)

  • from 0:48-0:53, this jingle sounds a lot like another from the same period for earthborn shampoo - - "when it gets right down to basics, i'm a down-to-earthborn girl." i'm guessing the one jingle inspired the other, or maybe they were by the same composer. does anyone know?

  • Notice how they litter?

  • America's microwaved Burger King.

  • Everything was better back in the day. I hate Burger King now...

  • It's strange, the 1970s was considered a dark time when it was happening, now it seems strangely warm and nostalgic by many. Then again, 2010 hasn't exactly been a great year so far...

  • @MattTheSaiyan i wasn't alive in the 70s but it looked like people were much caring than today....of course there were those dark times, every decade has its dark times.

  • America's getting ripped-ff BK used to have huge burgers.. about 6" across when I worked there in the '70s

  • eww - no gloves!

  • holy crap those burgers r HUGE!! i didnt no that :( i wish they still made em big

  • wow im sure they make more then 600 burgers a year now.. m

  • Just think of all the wierd chemicles, bacteria, vaccines, altered DNA, cloned meat in the burgers today. I wouldnt touch it today. Was good back in the day though.

  • Where does there beef come from? Watch Food Inc. It makes me want to ban beef.

  • Whoa, those are big burgers!

  • Burgers Wer Large Back Then

  • I'd pick up and sell aluminum cans before I'd work in one of those funny hats

  • @moneyfrompostcards not as bad as having to settke for working at a convienience stote run by slave driving towel hed indians who cant speak english

  • I miss that old logo.

  • Long live the 70s man! I live them every day of my life, and the last timee I went to Burger King, I walked in wearing bellbottoms and platform shoes with my big fro and I asked the girl, "If I wanted a whopper and asked you to hold the pickle and hold the lettuce, would I get to hear you sing?

  • Given the recent healthcare passage this commercial is oddly funny. We may have our differences but who besides a vegetarian does not like a good burger.

  • There are only a few occasions in history that I would have loved to be around for, such as The Revolutionary war, the Sixties and this, around the time of the Bicentenary! (To be truthful I was alive when America celebrated her 200th but was only 13 months old and way, way Down Under hehe!!!) But anyway, love this song and love the advert!!!

  • Oh come On! That little boy on 20, is that a REAL Whopper he's trying to eat? He could barely hold it in his hands let alone take a bite.

  • mattmo1 Joan Baez it is! =)

  • wheres the beef?

  • America loves grease. :-)

  • omgosh, so sentimental.. for a burger???

  • :29- wait a minute...4 open registers?? Mine usually only has 1 open, and they keep taking orders and no one gets their food until there is around 7 angry people waiting!! Love the commercial though!

  • It makes you proud to be American, lol

  • And you're a troll.

  • and then america got fat

  • I wonder if this is Judy Collins singing this one?

  • I have always disliked burger king. its gross

  • I've been looking for this song since 1980. I taped it in 1977 but lost the tape years later.

    Thanks for posting it!

  • "How come theres no fat people in any of the Fast Food commercials?"

Because there were no fat people in the 1970s. Haven't you been paying attention?

    ;)

  • @mogulsports and also bacause alot of ppl back in the 70s exercised a whole lot

  • @mogulsports Also, the 200,000,000 people were only eating 3 BurgerKing burgers a year.

  • @mogulsports Fat people we're invented in the last 80s.

  • @mogulsports

If they were to do a update commerical today in 2011.. Almost everyone would be fat in the commerical.

  • @mogulsports There were, but not near as many as today. Fat people were a small minority. WTF happened?? We ate the same crap!

  • @boardskins LOL, more marketing happened and more opitions happened and more preservatives in our foods which actually slow down our metabolisms, and americans tended to do little to no exercise once they got out of highschool, the end result a generation of mostly overweight people.

  • @22centman36 I think there are fewer educated people, although marketing and availability is a big cause.

People DO become slaves to the additives, however. Read up on MSG. It's a neurotoxin that is used in practically every processed food, especially fast food. I'm allergic, so I avoid it (although it's getting harder to do so).

  • @mogulsports who wants fat ppl in their commercial especially fast food ads that will juz make u want to not buy it

  • How come theres no fat people in any of the Fast Food commercials? If you go into any of them places today i will bet that theres over 50% of the people there that are overweight.

  • Back when this was made, adult and childhood obesity weren't the problems that they are now. Most people still ate meals prepared at home which were certainly more nutritious than a fast food joint. Of course, people were also a lot more physically active back then, too. Nobody was vegging out in front of the TV playing Xbox for hours at a time.

    Nowadays, its an image thing.

  • @TheSlovak223 Because they probably treated fast food as a special treat instead of eating it 5+ times a week.

  • this is sponsered by PETA hahaha sorry that was so wrong

  • Aha! My girlfriend would get so pissed if she read your comment.

  • Nice to see something that isn't busy running down America for a change...been a while.

  • BK was my first job, I'm glad I didn't have to wear those ugly uniforms though

  • thoose bitches are making me hungry

  • burger king rules its royal mcdonalds is trailer trash garbage that mexicans and - - - - - - s put out for us

  • good times

  • What the fuck are you babbling about? Have a burger and shut the fuck up.

  • Those BK uniforms back in the day were simply wrong. Whoever designed them had a real sense of humour.

  • @AngryDeli I remember being a small child in the 70's, going to the Burger King up the street, and thinking how doofy those uniforms were. I thought my cardboard crown was great, though.

  • DERP

  • WTF :21

  • "America Loves Burgers..."

That's so pathethic!!! Can you americans even understand how ridiclous that is to sing that!? -_-

  • stfu.

  • looks nasty

  • Back when this commercial was out, Burger King hamburgers were awesome! Now, they taste like warmed over fecal matter! Either that, or I had bad taste in food when I was 5....

  • Like Burger King but this is just stupid

  • haha you wouldn't think this is a burger king commercial.

  • they did it was the group of kids ,sir shakes alot, duke of doubt, burger thing

  • I think so. A super long time ago.

  • I remember back in 1981 we had stuff like magic sets. I don't recall any characters.

  • hahaha I'm in marching band and one time we did go to burger king with our instruments and uniforms on lol

  • I work at Burger King, making Flameboy whoppers, I wear a paper hat!

Would you like an apple pie with that?

Would you like an apple pie with that?

Wait for the bell, can't hear the bell, can't find the bell, where is the bell?

    DING! Fries are done!

    Ding Fries are done!

I gotta run! I gotta run!

    :)

  • Epic.

  • America loves burgers...ahhh Thomas Jefferson would be proud..LOL!!

  • Comment removed

  • Those Days r no more in America i guess...

  • Great commercial!

    It's really cool

  • those employee hats are funny

  • I'M SO STARVING

  • A wonderful reminder that our strength is in our diversity!

  • 0:30

I don't know what's more disturbing: the marching band uniforms or the BK uniforms.

  • i love how the music for these commercials was either super funky or peter paul an mary.

  • Amazing propaganda for a hamburger lol

  • Didn't the Simpsons copy this concept for Krusty Burger? And I think Beavis and Butt-Head copied it with Burger World.

  • this is when BK tried to copy Cokes " all ameican / feeling good type ads"

  • dat kid haz a BIG burger: 0:22

  • LMAO!!! He sure did damn was that a whopper man if so that shit was big back in the day!

  • NOW IM HUNGRY!!!!!!

  • The sheep video is very cute video

  • The horse video is cute

  • I know it's not her, but I can hear Karen Carpenter singing this.

It's amazing how a commercial can make junk food seem so pure and natural -lol

  • America does love Burgers, we need to be more active again though.

  • stop the terror and stop yelling at me

  • Does anyone know who sings this?

  • Jebus Chris! Look at the size of those burgers!

    . . . and 200 million americans in 1977. 300 million by 2007. So what? 400 million by 2037?

  • I think that MC, King, Wendy, KfC ecc ecc have poisoned usa people since they exist. I am italian, and I can say that nobody can find good food in a fast food.

  • Comment removed
