My friend who was nuts use to drive one of these and he replaced the jingle with a thrash metal version. His friend had a thrash band and taped it and he set it up through mega speakers and covered the Mr. Softie sign with a Mr. Toughie sign with the ice cream cartoon guy looking mad with his fist making the devil sign and he would drive around 80 mph. Kids would run away LOL!

The Mr. Softee trucks used to be in MD until mid-summer 1992, This may sound weird but one night when one of the trucks came around my area when I was little, the song just stopped playing while going down my street and all of a sudden... a loud crash happened and the song just stopped at the end of the second verse of the softee theme... all I could say that It was extremely quiet after that...
