What's so "top secret" about ANYTHING having to do with balloon drops? Why would the USAF go to the trouble in 1947 to keep something like a "balloon drop" a secret? Big deal even IF the Russians had known about it. Everyone at that conference bastardized the event. Wrong questions were asked (or worded incorrectly). Im sure John Haynes' pockets are comfortably lined.
