This is a great game, but I always think that if Homeworld and Haegemonia devolopers put ideas together there will be the best space combat game ever made. With the graphic quality and the explosions (and the magnificent music) of Haegemonia and the realism, easy use and the great amount of ships from Homeworld.

Get haegemonia explorer (available from digital reality's site), open the mapfiles. go to empires area and set spies to 0.

Got my hands on it couple of years ago, played it through, and loved it, despite the horrible, repulsive polish translation (publisher botched his job ;/). The game's still has it's "taste" and style, a bit diffrent from the mentioned Homeworld, (albeit equally "attention-sucking" in my oppinion). Despite all these years from it's premiere, it's still one of my favourite titles. Cheers

what you don't know, is that digital reality's team was kinda remixed (with alot going out and new ones coming in) after haeg. You might want to check the latest Star Apocalypse text based trailer out, that game will be a bit like haeg, but with alot of features added. And above all, it will be for free!

The graphics aren't very nice. They're *good* but Homeworld 2 ones are *nicer*. It's a really common thing for developers these days to crowd tons of super shadeymatic 8.12 particle bloomer fountain bucket effects and detail in, so that nothing really looks very striking. Just a big, muddy, graphics card munching mess.

I have to disagree with you that homeworld 2 graphics are better. While homeworld 2 may support more ships, haegemonia has more detail on the ships.

No I agree, I just didn't explain myself properly, Haegemonia has technically better graphics, they just don't make me think "Oooh" like HW2's did, because of their focused style.

Haeg has the best space explosions I've seen though. So tasty.

Hmmm, its in episode 2, right? Or in episode 4? Well in both missions, you also need certain pop amount. But in 4th episode you also have to sacrifice one ship in order to let you get the techs for solon base ;)

Can someone help me...in the mission "only a dead pirat is a good pirat" i cant complete the mission...if i destroy the pirat-base the mission should end but it doesn't . I even build this defend base station...help me please.

I am working on a high-res movie, but the divx codec licence expired (I had trial one), so will need to find other high-res codec... mpeg4 is far too big...

When I tried downloading the high-res version of this trailer from the official Haegemonia website, it complained that it needed an obsolete codec that wasn't free.

Thanks for posting it. And for those of you seeing this, I've played the game and the trailer's claim is true; nothing is touched up. The shields really are that pretty when they get hit.
