Polar bears are excellent swimmers. They're smart enough to know a free ride on an ice chunk when they see it. There's a photo that the environmentalist deceivers used to show a supposed stranded polar bear on an ice chunk. It was discovered that the whole picture (not the cropped picture) showed the ice was attached to land, not free floating.

Hello Dohoeb, the fact of the matter is that many species have been going extinct due to climate change/ pollution, and this org is actually trying to do something about it. The human race consumes vast resources and pollutes w complete disregard to the environment. This org attempts to help those that are affected by our actions. What you need to do is google for some basic facts. Such as the population of polar bears in 1980 and in 2009. Then come back here and report whether you would qualify that as "dying". This video is emotional hogwash so WWF can collect more money from people who only react emotionally and will make no effort to do anything with Facts.
Again, google is your friend :) Ice melts, then comes back, then melts again. Happened since time immemorial, and we can contest evidence from old times (how did they measure it in the 14th century?) but there's no contest about temperature studies in the 20th century. Temperatures went up until 1940, then went down until 1970. And so forth. I would encourage you to pick up some basic books that cover actual facts. So, no, the ice is not melting anymore than it always does, before it comes back.

On the research for environment comity we found 10+ dead polar bears lying in tall grass and they were half eatten by other mammels. No they are not. "Research" can prove anything. There are about 20 subspecies of polar bears, and only 2 species of those are in danger of extinction. Other 2 are actually growing, and the remaining 15 or 16 are perfectly fine. As for ice, check up on the recent NOAA information: all the ice came back in 2007, one of the coldest years in recent history. That's why "global warming" shite has not become "climate change". The polar bear was put on the marine mammal protection list in the 80's when there were less than 1700 breeding pairs left. Now there are 25,000+ breeding pairs... wonder why theres no damned food! Please, educate yourself--THEN make a decision. Gore's movie is full of gross factual errors. He talks of polar bears that drowned during a storm, and blames global warming. He talks of Kilimanjaro and GW, while scientific studies have proven that the problem was deforestation (people chopped the tress down!). He talks of melting glaciers--but they started melting a hundred years before cars. Etc.

While GW may seem to be a geological pattern, human activities are accelearting the speed of it; the end product is toxins and heat. This heat cannot just disappear, and elevates atm temp and toxins aiding it (just think of law of conservation).
Besides, earth has not cycled through these geological temperature changes enough for that to serve as good evidence. On the bears, does destroying an entire ecosystem sound good to you? The earth is an intricate web and each part relies on each other.
As a supporter of WWF, for over 20 years, I can only echo what others have said. After the Polar Bears, humans will follow. I am in No. Cal, and cannot go outside, because of the smoke from the many fires, combined with the man made smog I can only hope that in the future, man-kind can look back, and say " Thank God, we saved the planet."

Believing in the human cause of global warming means you have to acknowledge that our dependence on fossil fuels. Some scientists have made unsubstantiated claims. However, don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
It took millions of years to form the fossil fuels and we have depleted the reserves far faster than they are being replenished. The products of fossil fuel combustion are harmful to humans. Polar bears are just one victim of our technology. Be less wasteful for all our sakes

What a load of lies! "The polar bears will die in our children's lifetime." Well no kidding, they only live about 30 years in the wild! And there are several studies that counter Mr. Wylie's bullcrap - showing that the bears are living and thriving as well as the ice flows they live on! Polar bears are excellent swimmers. They're smart enough to know a free ride on an ice chunk when they see it. There's a photo that the environmentalist deceivers used to show a supposed stranded polar bear on an ice chunk. It was discovered that the whole picture (not the cropped picture) showed the ice was attached to land, not free floating.

Again, google is your friend :) Ice melts, then comes back, then melts again. Happened since time immemorial, and we can contest evidence from old times (how did they measure it in the 14th century?) but there's no contest about temperature studies in the 20th century. Temperatures went up until 1940, then went down until 1970. And so forth. I would encourage you to pick up some basic books that cover actual facts. So, no, the ice is not melting anymore than it always does, before it comes back.

No they are not. "Research" can prove anything. There are about 20 subspecies of polar bears, and only 2 species of those are in danger of extinction. Other 2 are actually growing, and the remaining 15 or 16 are perfectly fine. As for ice, check up on the recent NOAA information: all the ice came back in 2007, one of the coldest years in recent history. That's why "global warming" shite has not become "climate change". How convenient.

Actually I am a Liberal who chooses to vote for the best Man or woman for the job! Any one who chooses to vote for a certain party are the ones who needs medical attention.Cause to vote for whole parties are choosing to adopt the same laws, and ways, that parties are running things!Whether that party is doing good are not!Choose to vote and act according to your belief!

I can't belive that anyone would think this is a scam. I'm a volunteer with the WWF and I've seen these polar bears and their conditions up close. I can personaly say that these reports are real and terrifying.

The oil interests in Alaska are doing just fine, even with Palin's wanting a bigger slice of the pie -- ironic, they're all Republicans and they're fighting amongst themselves, predictably over $, & doing nothing to address obvious crises. Glaciers are irrefutably disappearing. So are the polar ice caps, much faster than anyone predicted. Get a grip.

My name is Katie, and This video literally brought tears to my face. I am also going to be an Arctic Ambassador this coming October because i am going to study the polar bears out in the wild with an organization known as Polar Bears International. I am going to spread the word about polar bears as well and i plan to make a difference. Thank you so much WWF for realizing the importance of spreading the news about these bears. While GW may seem to be a geological pattern, human activities are accelearting the speed of it; the end product is toxins and heat. This heat cannot just disappear, and elevates atm temp and toxins aiding it (just think of law of conservation).
Besides, earth has not cycled through these geological temperature changes enough for that to serve as good evidence. On the bears, does destroying an entire ecosystem sound good to you? The earth is an intricate web and each part relies on each other.

As a supporter of WWF, for over 20 years, I can only echo what others have said. After the Polar Bears, humans will follow. I am in No. Cal, and cannot go outside, because of the smoke from the many fires, combined with the man made smog I can only hope that in the future, man-kind can look back, and say " Thank God, we saved the planet."

Great organization! 83 percent of the funds they receive go towards saving the habitats that endangered animals live on. I give to WWF as often as I can. If you can't, please do your part to reduce, reuse and recycle!

Chris: I'm sorry you feel it is a con. By simply looking at WWF's Website, you will see that WWF is not a con. 83% of the funds they receive go towards conserving habitats so that endangered animals don't become extinct. Ironically, if we destroy the land that animals need to survive in, we will ultimately destroy the land that WE need in order to survive.

um, no. They are not safe. Maybe if you read a little and actually learned about it, you'd realize that many of the animals are going extinct because of things people are doing, not just because of hunting. And because of the weather changes happening and so on.

Your energy is so unwelcome here. I believe that most us would prefer that you do something to manage your anger as it is truly doing nothing but wasting time and hurting yourself. Imagine what you could accomplish if you took all your anger/energy and turned it around to actually do something positive to help people and yourself? Bad energy is toxic to everyone around you. Total credit to you for your honesty, but I think you are ill-informed. Fuel is not our only option and if we don't want our grandkids living like "hermits" we need to intelligently "evolve". Certainly the oil companies (if that is your concern) need to do this or they will become extinct - they need to reinvent themselves with a view to sustainability. As for "Wackos" - most people concerned about polar bears recognise the conflict of interests and educate themselves so they can fix the problem

Believing in the human cause of global warming means you have to acknowledge that our dependence on fossil fuels. Some scientists have made unsubstantiated claims. However, don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
It took millions of years to form the fossil fuels and we have depleted the reserves far faster than they are being replenished. The products of fossil fuel combustion are harmful to humans. Polar bears are just one victim of our technology. Be less wasteful for all our sakes

What a load of lies! "The polar bears will die in our children's lifetime." Well no kidding, they only live about 30 years in the wild! And there are several studies that counter Mr. Wylie's bullcrap - showing that the bears are living and thriving as well as the ice flows they live on! I'm all for saving endangered animals - but the polar bear is FAR from extinct and there is no threat because global warming is a socialist farce! WWF is acting like the WWE - all acting and none of it good!
