@belics90 - i presume that because he seldom 'clenches' the hi-hat (im not sure of the technical term...'closing' it) he probably moved the stand out of the way so he had more room for the double pedals. I think on his more recent, larger kits, he uses a HA-100 hi-hat clamp which connects his hihat to his left bass drum, obviating the need for a stand and thus allowing one to play double bass and still keep the hihat reasonably near to one's feet.

Well apparently I was just told it's a Splash because I checked with a drummer I know because I have that much spare time because it's the summer holidays and I'm unemployed. The reason i dont have a job is not because of lack of experience, procrastination or laziness but because even after asking around and networking it's still hard in these times, what with the economy and all. For someone like me (late teens) it's difficult, but I make do with this and that and I get by :)

It's definitely a splash, it's a 6" splash. He didn't have any type of cymbal/bell in his kit for live shows, he he's had cow bells for album recordings (on the kit, doesn't use them) but that is undoubtedly a small cymbal (again 6" splash)
