The method does not always work because it depends on the size and location of the dent, if you're lucky it will. Also, just let the frost evaporate by itself, don't wipe it off. Some paint colors might get damaged by the low temperature but that can be easily fixed with a can of clearcoat finish.
wow the idiocy is blinding on these comments......
First of all, they just used a hairdryer to heat up the location of the dent. Then they used an air duster (CO2 in a can), flipped it upside down and sprayed it right on the spot, making liquid CO2 (well below 0 deg F) spray out. You can buy those cans at any electronics store for dirt cheap. Metal expands a lot when heated up, and quick cooling causes it do deform back quickly.
this is a 1 in a 1000 chance.... to take a dent out properly take it to a professional..no not a bodyshop its called pdr.."Paintless dent repair." this is typically a known myth, but in some instances will work, although you have to get lucky!! more commonly used with dry ice
Who cares about the paint when you can pop the dent out and then buy a pint of the car color and touch it up. Nothing like a can of air duster turned up side and spittin out em liquid nitrogen!
ok.. i did a little research and i find out that it's liquid carbon dioxide they're using, and CO2 stands for carbon dioxide not air :))) lol in ambulance car when someone is dying instead of oxygen, give them carbon dioxide, that would be refreshing :))))
when you compress air enough it will turn to a liquid. when it comes out of the can it evaporates very quickly which absorbs energy, causing pretty much anything around it to freeze.
hold it upside down and it comes out as a really cold liquid. you can get frostbite if you spray it on you for more than a full second. tastes bad though

people are saying it ruins the paint, what if you just wash it and then wax it right after? im sure that will work, right?

This only works for big hollow dents. I got one on a body line on my fender... a tiny one.

you could have just used some stress releife tapping and a suction cup and had even better results...

compressed air
Yerizzo 3 years ago
LOL compresed air??? air don't freeze when it comes out...its just an air, only the pressure is bigger!!!
Appledude500 3 years ago
that's what I was wondering too, it's all liquidy but that's what people say, from c02 cartridges. Look at other videos, says compressed air.

pballer2005 2 years ago
its not compressed air. its carbon dioxide. take a computer air duster and discharge it upside down and thats what comes out.
Mortivore1 2 years ago
not CO2, read the ingredients

@Appledude500 When the pressure drops, the temperature will drop too.
