  • How long does it last for, does it go moldy??

  • LULZ :) This was made on my birthday

  • thats a strage looking Kit... Oh wait a minute :D

  • i bet that smells great curddeling milk and vinegar... MMMM... lol

  • I have the book how to fossilize your hamster.

  • How much milk was this?

  • @o0konnichiwa0o 1 liter. they did say it

  • that's fucking cheese

  • 4:02 nipslip

  • God the one girl was the slave for half the video. Freaking other chick just ordered her around "then we'll strain it, then we'll separate it".

  • Guys, casein IS plastic.

Plastic doesn't just just encompass petroleum-based and synthetic-based polymers. It encompasses a wide variety of materials that possess certain properties. Casein IS a kind of plastic. Not the same as nylon, PP, or ABS, but it's plastic.

Don't believe me? Look it up. I'm tired of reading the posts of smartasses who think that pure casein isn't plastic.

  • @PirateOfTheInternet Please read the following wikipedia articles: Polymerisation, Casein, Polymer

  • @tomek123kotek That's great, except plastics don't necessarily have to be polymers. Just read the wikipedia article for "plastic". Plastic describes a wide range of materials that have certain properties, but not necessarily specific molecular properties. Certainly the vast majority of plastic we use every day is polymer-based, but that does not mean that all plastics are polymers. No definition anywhere describes all plastics as polymers.

  • @PirateOfTheInternet Google, "Define: Plastic" You get this:

A synthetic material made from a wide range of organic polymers such as polyethylene, PVC, nylon, etc., that can be molded into shape...

  • Almost cottage cheese... but Army uniform buttons used to be made from it :)

  • does it have to be warm?

  • you know you guys shud do next? Make me a sandwich -.-'

  • you know you guys shud do next? Mak me a sandwich -.-'

  • ...... you made cheese not plastic lol wow

  • i like panneer

  • wow u made cheese lol

  • That jug of milk bags bagged milk look smart..

  • This is the New Scientists! Aimed at kids and housewives.

  • yaaass shes scottishhhh

  • in the end:how to fossilise youre hamster hahaha

  • your cheese is fine, like expensive Greek feta but fresh. white cheese made from fresh milk does not smell. the stinkier a cheese is, the more expensive, a crime! hard "parmesan" is like solid milk that lasts long if made right. Romans carried it. fresh products are less valuable, they spoil faster! "french" bread with no wheat germ or bran fiber, stale in 5 minutes. wine: old grape juice turned to vinegar. they waste more on trash than to feed people for free!

  • all i could think for the first few seconds was cameltoe and cleavage. just sayin. not a bad thing.

  • What can you d o with it after you have made it, besides eating it.

  • do they not have microwaves in scotland?

  • so what?! that's how chees is made...

  • Val - "If its not Scottish, its CRAP"

  • @ductraep

wat hte fuk u dik she didnt say dat u cocky cock

  • @LuvibleEntertainment

Grow up and learn to type like an adult.

  • @Qw3rtypop screw u bastard

  • it looks like cottage cheese because it is...adding vinegar to milk makes it curdle and turn to cheese not plastic. =/

  • no we are in the kitchen...DUH!.

  • does it smell?

  • whore

  • Ewe plastic cheese

  • It's cheese curds

  • How to fossilise your hamster o_O

  • A billion people eat that in India, it is called Paneer, it is a staple food, cheese, and not plastic.

for scientists, you didn't do you research very well.

  • @goatspeak 3:17 watch the entire thing stupid

  • @goatspeak this isnt the only place where they say this is plastic. Also in other science magasines around the world it is said that this is a kind of plastic

  • @goatspeak I'd say they did their research just fine. If you had watched the whole video you would have seen that they mention Paneer. And if you had done some research of your own you would find that it is, in fact, one of the earliest forms of plastic called casein which is derived from Latin meaning "cheese". So, cheese... yes. Plastic... yes.

  • can you use red wine vinegar

  • can i use consentrated milk in other words powdered milk??

  • After I a while wouldn't it rot?

  • @WolfJackson67 No it needs to be wet to rot, when its dry it has no moisture for bacteria to live in.

  • So we separate milk from what?

  • hmm milf

  • THIS IS THE CHEESE FOOD PRODUCT THAT YOU EAT! JUST ADD COLOUR!

  • any practical applications?

  • I have two questions:

1: How much milk did you use?

2: How long do you let the milk warm up?

  • @annabelle11498 1 liter of milk. and just warm, not boiling

  • What kind if vinegar?? Plz plz answer!!! Someone??

  • @TheMilklover3 acidic vinegar

  • @TheMilklover3 acidic vinegar

  • But they didn't make anything it was just a cheese blob snowman!!!!

  • Hottest chemists ever!

  • how to make plastic, melt some plastic and you get plastic!!!

  • funny thing is, the same woman who said it was like cottage cheese, asked the other woman is she remembers saying that it was like cottage cheese earlier. I think shes losing it.

  • we did that for our investigative project, and it smells really awful. i dunno what's wrong, but yeah. it stinks >.< LOL.

  • @emokiztah0000 nothing was wrong, you are curdling milk with vinegar, it should smell like curdled milk and vinegar. There is absolutely no plastic in this video though.

  • is that garden bit just an extension of the kitchen?

I should hope so. otherwise i take back my thumbs up.

  • get back into the kitchen?

  • such a nice clean kitchen.

like at first when they were outside i started getting angry, but then thankgod they were back in the kitchen for the rest of the clip.

GOOD GOING LADIES KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  • You didn't make plastic. You made cheese. City people, honestly!

  • @TheLadyFirecracker it isn't city people these are just idiots sorry you had to witness these retards

  • @TheLadyFirecracker no it isn't, i've done it before. try it, and you will see

  • Is this for real? Obviously they are not farmers wives or they would know they just made farmers cheese. Methinks someone has cozened these bints.

  • the girl with the white shirt.. i could see her pussy n she had a good boob shot near the end haha

  • @ericrussell3333 umm.. neither one of them are wearing a white shirt, and they're both wearing pants.... You should use that imagination of your's for something more productive.

  • they made a "classy" how-to on a child's 1st grade science experiment -_-....

  • that's interesting, but it's such a cliché :p

  • this video is 4:20 long

  • 0:19, typical

  • @ChRIs23696 i dont get it ?

  • I thought that's how they made cheese.... And inside your stomach is acidic already, so you don't need the vinegar to turn the milk into plastic...just make the milk is heated for the reaction to occur...it should be hard by the time it reaches the rectum....lol..

  • Wouldn't it be easier to get some play-doh?

  • Can you add sulfur to this mix to make the plastic stronger, If so how do you do this ?

  • I thought that was cheese not plastic....

  • like lab..

  • This experiment is cool. How can I make it look like real plastic? Like the thin one with handles..

  • Wow! That was about as useful as a flat tire.

  • what if i put a small amount of starch on the milk to make the plastic more flexible and not brittle.will it work?...pls tell me!!!

  • 0:19 "I'm gonna show you hoe" ? She could have been nicer.

  • is that a bioplastic?..

  • @sSyreNe21 no it's just cheese

  • @eldrickenji SO do u mean this kind of cheese that can be called plastic, does not affect our ozone layer, or can be involve in global warming?..

  • @sSyreNe21 that's exactly what I meant

  • @eldrickenji do u know any other substitution for milk? it's kinda brittle when dried..it's casein ryt? like cheese?

  • if you say cheese is plastic then just buy cheese from shop and let it freeze couple of hours and then its plastic.... wow. now thats how you make plastic! :)

  • So your saying cheese is a plastic?

Because I can go to my local grocery store and buy some cheddar plastic, and you know what! It's edible too! Holy crap.

  • 0:01

  • "so we're in the kitchen"

yeah where you belong bitch! only a woman wudve had thr time to come up with this, having so much experience in the kitchen, some clocking over 257 hours

  • Thats so cool u wouldnt think that u can make plastic owt of milk!

  • So why doesnt that happen in the stomach? Aren't stomach acids ..well.. acidic?

  • Pretty interesting...

  • What a misleading vid...

You just made cheese by seperating the whey fraction.

It has nothing to do with plastic (unless you refer to the plasticity which is a bit far fetched). Plastic is a polymer usually made from radical reactions, not just agglutination.

  • gay

  • Plastic ad polymers, WTF! Don't confuse people with a "science" video. BTW, it's a well known food-material (not in the USA, obviously) and it's damn delicious (well, not exactly made this way). And just to let You know, youghurt, cheese, etc has their so-called matrix because of casein, they just have more time to compose their own characteristic microstructure. But that's a bit more difficult just to write it in a few lines.

    A food engeneer.

  • Cheese :D

  • lol it actually works

  • O_O How to fossilise your hamster??? WTF???

  • shes hot

  • @riverdave7 noooo shes not!

  • This is not shocking, we make MAWA from this thing, simply add vinegar a little in Milk and don't throw the water of that clotted milk, cook it with a lot of sugar and then after it remains a little, Delicious sweet dessert is prepared.

  • run it under cold water afterwards and it goes very hard!!!

P.S. Do not mention the accidental inuendo!!

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOL 3:05 so you can make any tyrp of SHEEP lol XD!!!!!

  • :p why waste all that time on the video..... why cant u just use that microwave

  • wow dont drink milk and eat vinigar together for a meal lol ur insides would be full of plastic lol

  • actually your stomache acid is wayyy stronger then vinegar... so the same reactions happen within...

it's completely edible thou... so no worries.

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 Who eats vinegar?

  • @qaswoklp1 like nearly every1 lol

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 eat vinegar? haha!

  • @pyro57sapiens well i suposse u could eat it on food but i see wat u mean lol ok drink vinegar

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 or maybe you drink vinegar and eat milk (:

  • @mangono lol

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 naa your stomach acid would break it down.

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 well, they are biodegradable lol

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 no, it would be full of curdled milk.

  • at 3:05, you can make any type of sheep?

  • What sexy women...i wonder what will happen if they use their breast milk? mmmmmm

  • lol !!!

  • a little salt and presto

  • science or diy show??

  • this is my scinece fair project! lol

  • 4:02

  • lol

  • You can it eat, it is edible too, we're learning about it in Science in school, reversible and irreversible changes!! =0)

  • PUT THE SNOOZLE ON THE HOOZLE!

  • exactly

  • what can i do whit this plastic? will it not start to smell and get bad later?

    thx for the answer :D

  • i just want to bite those milk things... they look like mochi, just without the ice cream inside, or not made with rice.

  • I wish they accidently made nitro glicering and blast there heads off.

    P.S

    Waist of milk

  • Is nitro glicering some sort of cake decoration?

  • A polymer is any product that can be made of "many parts", the name is derived from Greek language. Poly, means many. And mer is for meros which means units or parts A polymer by definition is not a specififc plastic or product. You blend many monomers (single units) to make a polymer. So, a cake could be considered a polymeras it is blend of different units to produce one product.

  • Is all this necessary? After the first sentence we realized you were a smart ass.

  • @ dinglezilla,

a polymer is made of the same repeating part, not just different single units. I don't think i'd want to eat a cake like that, wouldn't it just be a big pile of flour and eggs?

  • Comment removed

  • it's not plastic it's a variation of curd cheese you can actualy make allot of tasty dishes with it curd pancakes for instance

  • uhm.. this is.. cheese u fuckin dopes

  • you are supposed to use LEMON instead of vinegar to make cheese.

  • Will this rot?

  • OMFG... They made a simple cheese... I make this all the time, at home with a bit of salt and sprinkle it on my salads.

  • to cheap to buy feta? lawl!

  • No. I didn't make feta, that takes some curing in brine for a while. I made paneer. When you need some crumbly cheese in a pinch, you can make it this way. :)

  • i cant believe newscientist posted this as "plastic" plastic is a hydrocarbon polymer, and what these housewives make is a protein (amino acid chain)

  • no, a plastic is anything that can be molded into a desired shape.

  • gg ty

  • so does alloy and metals

    -plastic consists of hydrocarbon

  • she said "thats gross but wat do we do next?"

  • cheese

  • Carol.. your hott. im sorry but your very pretty!

  • Me too. That is one badassly awesome accent.

  • hmmmm meh accents make people special

  • When i make Paneer or cottage cheese i use Lemon juice as my acid.

  • me 2 lol but... it didnt work! lol

  • Love that Irish accent just lovely!

  • its a cheese not ateble

  • man i heit their accent

  • what a waste of milk!

  • is it strong? and malleable?

  • the many things you can do from nipples.

  • and TO them.

  • Please can we rename these lovely women "So" and "Well"?

  • help i need ur help! does it biodegrade?

which is decompose! rhelp me for my project ... if so how long... since its milk i think it'll decompose

  • yes, it does decompose. for an experiment, make a button out of it and get a normal button and bury them in soil for a week or so. the normal button is unchanged, but you wont be able to find the one you made

  • GET... LAID...

  • isnt this just curd and ways ? i remember making cheese this way at school ??

  • Technically you're only making something similar to a plastic, since casein is actually a protein. Saying that casein is a plastic is like saying most of a human body is made out of plastic, which it isn't.

  • Their is actually no casein in the human body.
