Had a golf mk 5 and changed it for a ford focus 2,0 titanium back in 2007, and due to change it again this year and for me im going back to the golf. Found the Focus to have too many rattles even from new. The Focus is proberbly abit better handling wise but for everything else the golf wins hands down.

Depends on your model if you'll have it. If it's present al all, you'll find it inside the armrest compartment next to the 12V connection.
