First of all there is no comparison between music and Azaan, it's not like some instruments are playing behind the Azaan nauzubillah. The sound of universe is different kind of sound because it does not takes you away from the world and whats going around you, on the other hand music does takes you away, it's like brainwashing, music awakes the inner feelings, because of your so called "MUSIC" people even suicide, kill each other and things like that.

Allah (swt) tells us that there are poets who work good and engage in His remembrance. This creates the basis of the halal practice of poetry. By extension, we can see music as an art form which can be used with good or bad intentions. The same can be said about poetry as is said about music - they are both the same type of human endeavour. Music is harder!
The Quran shareef is poetry - poetry is art. The words used in it describe something more and have a greater effect on the listener than what the words themselves mean. Imagine if the Quran was written like a dry legal document.
Similarly, music is using sound to have a greater effect on the listener than the sounds themselves would have - it is art.
I can undertand why people might think music is haram, but the last 5 verses of sura 26 (al-Shu'ara) help convince me it is not.

God and Allah ARE the same. While we narrate quran, we do sing (although it is called reciting and without music). There is a difference of opinion about the general use of music. Many scholors think that music is not forbidden. As a matter of fact there is no where mentioned in quran that music is not allowed. Its bad use, is forbidden by the Prophet. And by bad used, it meant for the songs whle invoked immoral songs and stuff. So by itsled music is not forbidden.

First, at no where God says Muslims to kill Jews or Christians or anyone else. In fact Christians and jews have special preference for muslims as all beleive in one God. As Suran says in Chapter 3 vers. 114. "Among the people of the book there are ones who are along the right path, they narrate the verses of God and bow in front of Him. They beleive in God and the day of Judgement ...... they are pious people."
At another place in chapter 5 vers 69 Allah (or God)sayas: "Either these are Muslims or Jews or Sabi or Christians whoever will beleive in God and the day of judgement and will do good deeds, no doubt he should not have fears nor should he be sad".
No doubt, we dont beleive in Jusus as son of God, he was only a prophet like many other prophets. He was very higly acclaimed one, praised by God at many places in Quran and gave him special status.
Quran told us that people made changed in the Books (torat, zaboor and anjeel). It is these people who considered Jesus as son of God. Jesus himslef never claimed nor he asked his followers to consider him son of God. At one place in Quran God said on the day of judgement I will ask jesus did you ask them to consider you as son of God ? The jesus will reply, O God, never did I ask them to consider me son of God nor did I ask them to worship me, I am innocent of such crimes.
God is the same and was always the same, for all the nations. Since for every nation there was a different prophet who brought the message in the native language so they started calling Him with different names. one messenger brought the message but after his death, people made changes in the message and forgot the right path so another messenger came to bring the people back to the right path and it went on like this for ages. every messenger bringing the same message.
And by the way, you are absolutely right in saying that God can never speak against Himself. So we need to study the existing messages which persist today i.e. Bible and Quran. And all those places where the message contradicts needs our attention and research. As is the case of music, if God didnot forbid it in Bible how can it forbid in Quran. Although the debate needs in depth analysis but the conclusion for me is Quran doesnt forbid music. so no contradiction there.

The Bible has never changed eiter.We have just translated it into more modern language,but the message is still the same.But we do not have so many translations that you have with The Koran thou(19).

the prophet's (peace be upon him) companions recorded the verses of the quraan as they were being revealed in the last 23 years of his life. it was only after his death that the companions compiled all of the verses into a book in arabic. there are lots of copies around today, also you get get translations of it is english are some other languages.

Form changes but components remain same. But check this, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Form is unchanged but component changes. God and Holy Ghost are made of spirits but Son is not. Son is of flesh and bones. Humans need to eat but God doesn't require eating, does He?

Music is not Haraam, Zakir Naik is a real good scholar. But he has a poor knowledge of Hadith, Imam Ibm Hazm. Imam Ghazali, Ibn Katheer, Imam Nawi.
All mentioned Music is Halaal and Also Imam Al Kabani who is the Imam of Makkah Masjid Haraam, Also mentions Music as Halaal and he is real close to Zakir Naik.
Zakir Naik should review his Opinion. All the Authentic Hadiths mention Music to be Halaal and the weak ones go against Musoc.

Allah (swt) tells us that there are poets who work good and engage in His remembrance. This creates the basis of the halal practice of poetry. By extension, we can see music as an art form which can be used with good or bad intentions. The same can be said about poetry as is said about music - they are both the same type of human endeavour. The Quran shareef is poetry - poetry is art. The words used in it describe something more and have a greater effect on the listener than what the words themselves mean. Imagine if the Quran was written like a dry legal document.
Similarly, music is using sound to have a greater effect on the listener than the sounds themselves would have - it is art.
I can undertand why people might think music is haram, but the last 5 verses of sura 26 (al-Shu'ara) help convince me it is not.

God and Allah ARE the same. While we narrate quran, we do sing (although it is called reciting and without music). There is a difference of opinion about the general use of music. Many scholors think that music is not forbidden. As a matter of fact there is no where mentioned in quran that music is not allowed. Its bad use, is forbidden by the Prophet. And by bad used, it meant for the songs whle invoked immoral songs and stuff. So by itsled music is not forbidden.

At another place in chapter 5 vers 69 Allah (or God)sayas: "Either these are Muslims or Jews or Sabi or Christians whoever will beleive in God and the day of judgement and will do good deeds, no doubt he should not have fears nor should he be sad".
No doubt, we dont beleive in Jusus as son of God, he was only a prophet like many other prophets. He was very higly acclaimed one, praised by God at many places in Quran and gave him special status.

Quran told us that people made changed in the Books (torat, zaboor and anjeel). It is these people who considered Jesus as son of God. Jesus himslef never claimed nor he asked his followers to consider him son of God. At one place in Quran God said on the day of judgement I will ask jesus did you ask them to consider you as son of God ? The jesus will reply, O God, never did I ask them to consider me son of God nor did I ask them to worship me, I am innocent of such crimes.

Since for every nation there was a different prophet who brought the message in the native language so they started calling Him with different names. one messenger brought the message but after his death, people made changes in the message and forgot the right path so another messenger came to bring the people back to the right path and it went on like this for ages. every messenger bringing the same message.

the prophet's (peace be upon him) companions recorded the verses of the quraan as they were being revealed in the last 23 years of his life. it was only after his death that the companions compiled all of the verses into a book in arabic. there are lots of copies around today, also you get get translations of it is english are some other languages.

Form changes but components remain same. But check this, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Form is unchanged but component changes. God and Holy Ghost are made of spirits but Son is not. Son is of flesh and bones. Humans need to eat but God doesn't require eating, does He?

Music is not Haraam, Zakir Naik is a real good scholar. But he has a poor knowledge of Hadith, Imam Ibm Hazm. Imam Ghazali, Ibn Katheer, Imam Nawi.
All mentioned Music is Halaal and Also Imam Al Kabani who is the Imam of Makkah Masjid Haraam, Also mentions Music as Halaal and he is real close to Zakir Naik.
