THANK YOU! it is so refreshing to have an educated, informative view on the old faiths rather than poorly researched fantasy. i think people may take paganism a little more seriously when they realise there is deeper meanings behing the myths and popular images of the deities.
The insights you have on the poetic edda are very good (it is important not to mix up the 'great goddess' with feminism or modern wicca though). May I suggest you look at Professor Brian Bates book the Way of Wyrd and Robert Moss book Consious Dreaming as I am aware they may help you avery much in your studies. They relate to your experiences.
Good video, and thank you for posting it. I was wondering if you had any advice as to how to meet up with other Asatruar in any given area (mine in particular). I personally am having a hard time finding anyone genuine or serious about it, and it's gotten pretty frustrating.
Anyhow, again, great video. I've enjoyed your discourses immensely, and have benefited a lot from having found your YouTube.
@pitbullstubborn Hi there, and thank you for your comment. I am not sure where to point you, however. I am not a member of any group myself ..However, if I were to join up with one, I would definitely have chosen the Bifrost fellowship. You can see more about them on their site bifrost.no, they do have an English presentation on their site. However, I cannot see that they have any branches in the US where you are. Maybe you can write them and ask, or maybe someone else could suggest something?
maria as a follower of woden to join in one with love to the great dis i built stone circle fought off yobs but he she is having a lough with me as ive falling in love with my counsellor and have just found the courage to tell her oh shit loved her for months , what do you think ?
Hi, thank you for posting again Maria, I really appreciate you helping us understand the poetry and love your work.
Is this too obvious? Perhaps I missed you mentioning it somewhere, but I was wondering what your thoughts are about Odins name translated as “Vibrating Path” in st 49 Odin in Grímnismál and Bifröst translation as the “vibrating path”.
@charliegaunt It is only obvious if you pay close attention, which you have obviously done! Good. Yes, I think that if we understand Odinn as the Spirit, obviously, it is the Spirit that is the path towards the divine state of being (divine realm), just as the Bifröst is the exactly the same path. :)
@LadyoftheLabyrinth Could you be so kind to put on english subtitles so I can understand you? When you start talking too fast I can't understand you and I'm very interested to such issues
I love your wisdom and insight, Ms. Maria Kvilhaug. I must count myself among those pantheists that view the universe from a secular perspective - more of a pandeist I guess, but I do feel a connection to the Aesir/Vanir that I can only express as spiritual. I struggle to define soul, but relate well to the essence of an idea and cling to that concept of essence as "soul". Your discussion on energy and physics was adequate enough to make the point. Much love to you and yours! Þú ert fróðr!
Hmm, I've meditated before, but I've never entered a dream state through meditation. Is that an ability you acquired through practice or was that experience one of those things that happened without you really knowing how? I've heard of people having out-of-body experiences through meditation, but I don't know how they do that either. I'm still undecided as to whether out-of-body experiences are real or some type of hallucination.
@usern88717 Not really knowing how, but I seem to have a knack for that sort of thing. I do not know if it was an out-of-body experience but think it was rather a kind of lucid dream that led into a revelation. More like an into-the-body experience, perhaps.
out of three dimensions being brought into unity again and again in the mortal world, the creation of those dimensions ammoungst the gods, first fire, and then water, and then flesh, caused the waters to be without form, and before the creation of the first body, and first stream, there was a kind of formless life that existed of/within mist

@paidskn1488 I am Norwegian, and I am prioritizing the writing of a book before preparing and making videos nowadays. There will be more, eventually.

@MrVicaxe That is a wonderful dream! He did not wear a hat, but that, I think, is because I am not big on hats and he appeared to my liking...

@usern88717 Silencing the mind until the world stops, and sometimes, like in this one, to enter a dream state where I am still conscious. :)
