My favorite Oscar winning performances by Ingrid Bergman, Simone Signoret, Katharine Hepburn, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland, Maggie Smith, Susan Hayward, Joan Crawford, Sophia Loren, Jane Wyman, Anne Bancroft, Ellen Burstyn, Kathy Bates, Emma Thompson & Hilary Swank.
actresses of today are nothing to yesrdays talent...acting went down hill in the 80s although Jodie Foster, Kathy Bates, Emma Thompson & Helen Mirren are an ACCEPTION other shave won for popularity
Wow. Well researched! Great to see some of my favourite leading ladies, Katharine Hepburn of course up there multiple times, Barbra Streisand (and her infamous tie-Academy award with Katharine), Ginger Rogers, Meryl, Shirley and later on wonderful talents of the 90s including Helen Hunt and more recently another Helen [Mirren] for her outstanding performance as HM the Queen.
Fabulous video. You used some really gorgeous pictures. Bette Davis and Meryl Streep are my two favorites. Hopefully she'll get her third oscar win for Doubt. She's way overdo.
And I gotta add Helen Mirren.

Meryl Streep is the Greatest Actress of all Time!
Fact: 15 nominations. World Record.
No contest.

@acadavos lol as they said at the 2009 academy awards, it also means she's lost the most!
