He had the audience which is the most important thing. If you can't get your audience, you can't have a great performance. well, if you really want to know what the majority of the population think the best violin player is, then try Jascha Heiftz. Or if you want a person who is like Edvon Marton, try roby Lakatos. If you think this is guy is the best, then you probably jumped to conclusions before you listened to other people's music.

I agree that a Stradivari can not be used for this type of show, a Stradivari is an extremely expensive instrument and only the greatest violinists on the world can play one of those instruments. Marton is not one of them.

This guy is good, but I`d argue that disco beats and figure skating guys are there to detract from the fact that he isn`t actually as unbelievable on the violin as his hype probably suggests he is. Of course, you can never really know but I imagine that Beethoven would be turning in his grave if he knew that his symphony (powerful and subtle with an orchestra) was being played to a cheesy beat and synth. what precisely is your point? Tartini learned music from Franciscan friars and took up the violin while living in a monestary. Get things straight. Understand what the devil is, what musical humor and subtlety are. The devil's trill is so called because of it's (then relative) technical difficulty. Music of that sort requires self-sacrfice and faith to master. Name any other great musician and you'll get the same spiel.
