The reason Scott Brown won't win in 2012 is because only 40% of democrats showed up to vote compared to 98% Republicans. Not including the independents who always vote Democrat that did not show up to vote. The Democrats next time will not assume that the next voter will vote. The Massachusetts seat will go back to the Democrats as well.

People were pissed at Bush for his spending on the war. Although this war was necessary it was given mostly blank checks by the republican congress.

No one is supporting those who oppose SB 1070. Ron Paul was polled in a Rasmussen if he would beat Obama in 2012, the results were 42-41 Obama. Not bad for a man who hasn't yet announced his nomination for president.

Yeah, but goodness it takes 290 votes in the House, which is 2/3rds, and 67 Senators, to override any veto. That is so difficult to do. I think it still makes for a balance, but the president has a better hand. They will be forced to work or reconcile with him especially when the mood is better in 2 years the public will lean towards the president. This is why Clinton got re-elected and how Reagan got re-elected. The executive branch tends to be more popular than the legislative branch.

The reason Scott Brown won't win in 2012 is because only 40% of democrats showed up to vote compared to 98% Republicans. Not including the independents who always vote Democrat that did not show up to vote. The Democrats next time will not assume that the next voter will vote. The Massachusetts seat will go back to the Democrats as well.

No one is supporting those who oppose SB 1070. Ron Paul was polled in a Rasmussen if he would beat Obama in 2012, the results were 42-41 Obama. Not bad for a man who hasn't yet announced his nomination for president.
The Hispanic number is about to be slashed, big time. Thanks to the 16 states now considering adopting a similar SB 1070 (mine included). Aside from that, there is also a bill in the works to end birthright citizenship if one of the parents isn't a citizen.

I've personally, out here in Nevada, have asked many voters (18-29), and first time voters, since last August, if they vote in mid-term, governor, or special elections. Most of them said no, because they do not know the importance in it. Even if the GOP takes Congress, which I doubt due to they're NO attitude, Obama will still win re-election if the elections were held today.

As far as Obama goes, he will be a lame-duck come November. Congress can override vetoes. I'd like to see him veto a bill that reigned in the deficit, actually.

Yeah, but goodness it takes 290 votes in the House, which is 2/3rds, and 67 Senators, to override any veto. That is so difficult to do. I think it still makes for a balance, but the president has a better hand. They will be forced to work or reconcile with him especially when the mood is better in 2 years the public will lean towards the president. This is why Clinton got re-elected and how Reagan got re-elected. The executive branch tends to be more popular than the legislative branch.
