Depends on how much water you add. I added 32 ounces of water for 1 coconut. This works best for me. You can add more or less to get the consistancy you desire.
Rice must be cooked to make the milk, so it would be like Soy Milk. Im not sure the vrt will do it. As for hemp and chia, it should be possible, but may not work due to the size of the seeds being so small.
Would I make coconut milk this same way with a champion juicer? I should be getting my first champion juicer in the mail any day now, and I want to make coconut milk. Also your video of making almond milk, would I do it the same way? ( soaking overnight, putting with water in the juicer...) Please let me know.
I enjoy using coconut milk in replacement for anything a person would use cows milk for- such as in cereals, soups, dressings etc. I personally use most of my coconut milk as the base for smoothies, yummm.
Yes, Soak your almonds overnight. Then throw away the soak water. Juice the soaked almonds with some purified water. I think have a video showing this. youtube.com/watch?v=3Cw4KT24Blw
Hey, I tried to make coconut cream from the omega 8004 juicer and I used the juicing screen (the one you use for vegetables) and only pulp came out in the pulp part, nothing came out in the juice part
I used the brown coconut. I did get some more cream out after I wrote that. But what I did was I ran the coconut meat/pulp through the juicer like 15 times. After each run, since nothing came out of the juicer screen(I found out later the coconut pulp clogged the screen up), I opened up the end cap and there was cream on the end of the juicing screen. So I just kept running the pulp through, then opening the cap and cleaning off the cream and collecting it in the juice bin.
Hi. I have an Omega 8004 Juicer. I want to make some coconut --milk or cream, I'm unsure. What is the difference between the milk and the cream? In one video I saw you made the milk by first blending the water and meat, then juicing it. For the cream only the meat was put through the juicer. What's the difference and is one better than the other,
coconut milk has more liquid. blend (1 fresh mature coconut meat) with 32 ounces of water, then pour thru the juicer. The 8004 will do it, but make it a bit more pulpy than the vrt. On the cream, you want to juice mature coconut meat alone. It should work. I will work on making a video on this soon, as it has come up a few times.
Ok thanks, do you have to use water or can you just use the coconut water? I guess that is a lopsided meat to water ratio.
P.S. lightly hitting the coconut all around for a minute or two before opening it kind of separates the meat from the husk and makes taking the meat off the husk easy.
Where did you find those coconut tools? The one for popping the holes in the coconut to get the milk out and the one to pry the meat out? Those are great - I'd love to get my husband some. Thanks!
I have found the Omega VRT330 works the best when trying to extract liquids from milks. (easier, less mess, greater yield), but yes, the samson 9005, would be able to to this as well. (maybe not as good)
I noticed you mentioned that you prefer the Omega Vert juicer "over" the Hurom;
Since they are made in the same factory and appear in almost every other way to be identical, could you please explain "why" you recommend the Omega Vert and what the differences are?
I have two videos on the comparing the hurom and the omega vert on youtube. for a complete right up, please visit my web site discountjuicers. c o m and look under the articles and information section for a specific article comparing the two juicers.
The young coconuts can be scooped out with a spoon, but will not make coconut milk, since they are soft, and have a really low oil content. I enjoy blending young coconut water and meat together to make a shake.
Yes, you can. If you dehydrate the meat from this video, it will be more "fiber" since it has mostly been "de-fatted" in the milk making process.. I like to shred fresh coconut meat and then dehydrate it into shreds for a full-bodied taste since its more rich.
That was Beautiful! However, that makes for a very, very expensive drink: VitaMix ($459) + VRT ($329) ~ $800 worth of equipment! Yikes!!! Is there a way to do it w/either OR machines? :-(
That is some awesome coconut milk, you know if you add some water and let it sit for 3 days you can harvest your own super sweet raw coconut oil.. Thanks for sharing John
Probably. It should be clear. The way to know for sure is to crack the coconut open and look for signs of mold growth on the inside of the coconut. Most brown coconuts purchased are probably "too old" and bad. Find a store that has a high-turnover on the coconuts. Also shake them when you buy them. Should be mostly full of water, also look for signs of mold around the eyes.
LOL I watch this vid and I had 2 coconuts that I got from the store yesterday , this vid inspired me to make coconut milk , the first ones water was a bit cloudy so I drank the water and tried the other coconut and the water was more cloudy then the first one so I drank the water , hope I'm okay.
One more question- Is the coconut milk really creamy like the cans, or more watery like the jugs you buy?

Can the Omega 8004/8006 make coconut milk too? I know you said the 8004 doesn't make almond milk as good. Thank you!
AJBiddle7 4 months ago
The 8004/8006 is not "optimal" for making coconut milk - it tends to dump too much pulp into the juice due to the two stage screen design.

How well the Omega 8006 will work with making coconut milk and almond milk.
jeremyyn 1 year ago
It will work, but the "milk" will be a bit pulpy because the 1st stage on the stainless steel screen has larger holes.

Can you juice coconut meat in the omega BMJ 330.
DrDeath690 1 year ago
Yes, you can put mature meat thru the BMJ330. It will "kinda" work to make nice shreds, but wont make much milk, more of a creme.

Would the samson 9005 be able to do this also. Thanks

those are really mature coconuts, you should try the fresh green ones, aka younger coconuts. the meat is soft you can scrape it off w/ a spoon

You can use a normal "household" blender, but you will need to add additional water.
rawfoods 2 years ago
@rawfoods Thanks! It l looks like the best coconut milk ever!!!
imlivingandlearning 2 years ago
I know it wouldn't be nearly as easy but CAN u do this with a twin gear? What would you caution or advise if one were to try this w/ a twin gear?
imlivingandlearning 2 years ago
Yes, it would work in a twin gear machine, although it may "backup" the machine, so you would have to adjust or remove the outlet adjusting knob.
