  • I want this instrumental where can i get this?

  • Thank Allah for K'nnan!!!!!!11

  • The Horn of Africa. My homeland. My motherland. My love and pain for her is endless. Big ups to the Somali brotha K'naan.

  • :'(:'( oh God Jesus Christ! please free Somalia! <3 I miss my home<3

  • @cuterim Only allah can help somalia not jesus, jesus is a prophet SAW! people like you have ruined our name fuck somalis who have left the only true religion

  • @GAXOOOOOTI speak for your self;)

  • @GAXOOOOOTI Allah and Jesus are both fairy tales that cannot help anyone. Forget religions. You should not seek the way into afterlife during your time on Earth. The only way our world will see redemption is when people begin helping people - free from ego, consumed by love, and rejoicing in selflessness. Peace.

  • @shadon007 who da hell r u.. and why r u talkin to me... u aint even somali... GO AWAY! ISLAAM IS THE ONLY WAY OF LIFE AND THIS WORLD IS A DREAM.... (FROM ALLAH WE CAME AND TO HIM WE SHALL RETURN) NOW PLEASE GO AWAY AND DONT REPLY TO ME CUZ I WONT HOLLA BACC! GO DO YA THANG AND DONT WORRY ABOUT OTHERS

  • @GAXOOOOOTI The fact that Im not Somali doesnt mean I dont care about the people of Somalia. We are all in this together. All I can do is offer kindness from my Atheist lips and bleed from my knuckles as I help raise rooftops of new villages in Africa. I don't need to kill a man to prove my point, all I have are words and honesty. "The good people of this world will do their best, the wicked people of this world will do their worst; but to get a good man to do wicked things, you need religion."

  • @GAXOOOOOTI - The beautiful irony that because of blatant ignorance like yours, that's exactly why Africa as a whole is where it is at right now.

  • @Compton3clipsed GO AWAY MAN... ITS NON OF UR BUSINESS DONT WATCH OUR VIDEOS PRICKK... FUCK OUTA HERE AND PLEASE DONT FUCKING HOLLA AT ME

  • @GAXOOOOOTI - I doubt you are even from the Horn, probably some fake ass bitch trying to get hyped, telling me to go the fuck away, nigga if you are from the Horn the shit your saying, the religious prejudices are what keeps Africa in the slums even after the Europeans left, if you don't know shit about the supposed country your from don't try to get hyphy with me, I know more about Africa and it's culture than you could hold a candle to bitch. K'naan is truth, your words are lies,

  • @Compton3clipsed :( :(

  • Comment removed

  • @ketchupee1 with my comment i meant about history (african history) and ofcourse i know about the hardships that are there and thnx to allaah sunhana-watala i have escaped from it but there are a lot of people still there getting mistreated as civilians this last 20 years is uniek for somali history its not part of us what is happening now and we will get over it you know they say 'history repeat itself'but they're wrong cuzz it does not repeat but it rymes they wil rise brother believe me;)

  • The horn where everything starts know your history my somali bloods

  • @Saleebaan03 oh cmon, why r u acting like ur a guy from somali who knows the hardship of what goes on in there, not that i do ofcourse but neither do you. show some respect.

  • This song is so deeeep... looooooove it.. these new niggers r gonna kill this new aged hip hop, show ppl how stupid we are to listen those garbages... dnt get me wrong i bump hip hop like a hypocrit but its cuz a absense of niggers like this.. now i see damian and nas doin ther thing.. want to see k'naan n lupe fiasco do a collab

  • I wanna ask you a few things before I conform

To the popular belief about where I was born

Are they still illin', still killin' poppin' the corn?

    killer

    true rapper

    somalia!!!1

  • im not a fan of rap until knaan came

  • @igotalovestoned That's probably because this isn't rap. This is Poetry, disguised as rap, good sir.

  • @NinjaBroskiyoSki i know this is poetry, but poetry turns into a rap. I guess thats why knaan do that bcoz it may become catchy to everyone.

  • @igotalovestoned

    its not rap stupid

  • Comment removed

  • ahhh ok im stupid, its not a rap its acoustic maybe or even pop.

  • @igotalovestoned i shouldnt have said stupied..and im srry

  • @nm4l no prob mate :)

  • The Lion finally learned how to speak and is telling the tales of the hunt.... This song is a hidden germ on Dusty..

  • he's just a freakin killer. hero !

  • No he does not smoke nor does he drink, he was just using that line for analogy purpose......

  • this song is powerfull gives me a real feel of poetry and rapping in one make me listen 2 rap differently k'naan is like the african jesus k'naan goes hard

  • If we can only flood the air ways with conscious, Beautiful music like this talented brotha is making, our world will change for the better in such a quick pace.. its ashame i've never heard of K'Naan until listening to a Nas n Damien Marley track Today... they feed us so much GARBAGE and keep the ORGANIC muzzled... Shame on us for allowing all this mental garbage to enter ours and our children minds..

  • Blues for the Somalian Horn of Africa = SOMALiA

  • I think he would be good with Matisyahu.

  • @jdwynn17 They ARE good together, everytime time they meet:)

  • This song is from the album The Dusty Foot Philospher. It took me about 18 months to find this song. If you listen to the song 'Until the lions learn to speak' from that album and wait about thirty seconds after it ends, this song will begin.

  • this guy is a genius! i love his musik *_*

  • y have i listen to his join like 30min

  • love this song so much .. I listen to it when I am driving .. love the music ...

  • so he does smoke

  • I don't know how anybody can listen to this song and not immediately fall in love with it. One of my favorite songs period. Is there anything better than great music??.....come check out my rhymes on my page and let me know what u think J-WHIT

  • Don't you play soccer by the ocean front?..in America I shovel the snow while i'm smokin blunts..

  • idiocy knows no boundaries..

  • ARE YOU FUCKED? Your a wanna be, piece of shit. Go listen to your bullshit. Out of all people? how does this sound like fucking snoop dog? your wack, and you showed an embaressing comment. Everyone will laugh at you, you should remove it! wack ass

  • Learn your hip-hop, Learn your hip- hop history, Learn about world issues, and get out more!

  • @erna1990able HAHAHA what you just said spews with so much ignorance, it's makes everyone dumber having to see it.

  • Kom då, erna1990able, jävla skithuvud.

  • the truth has spoken

  • the real nigga

  • all mainstream rappers can go get shot thank god for real people like K'Naan

  • so, in your opinion, if k'naan became mainstream and everybody started knowing him, then all of a sudden he can "go get shot" ?

    just curious...

  • this is a powerful song

k'naan is the only real rapper left

  • "the only real rapper left"? LOL

there's a lot of great rappers man... not only "1" lol

  • like who

    Jay-Z? no

there are a lot of catchy rappers left but none of they're songs have meaning

  • Immortal Technique is one of the first ones that come to my mind; his rap is beyond money, bitches and cars. He raps about politics and his people (similar to K-naan's approach)

There's Nas who I think still got it.

  • Lupe fiasco is good..

  • this is K'naans music.. this aint no lupe fiasco.. im cool with lupe.. but this fellow Somalian talented artist K'naan is from my country = the Horn of Africa =Somalia!

  • immortal technique is amazing and has an amazing flow. but there is no comparison to the politics they sing about. it is two completly different things in my opinion and their approach to it.

  • @mikesdjftr I used to listen to Immortal Tech but the fool keeps on promoting crazy socialist propaganda, at the same time he be talking about real stuff in gutter which i really appreciate But for me i can't stand Fidel Castro as much as i can't stand Dick Cheney...In my eyes they are more like the same scums, only happen to live different parts of the world!...Fidel killed dozens of Somalis for no reason, when he was supporting Ethiopian Communist and i have never forgiven him for what he did!

  • Yeah thats true, Immortal has a few good songs and such but yes you are correct.

  • As they say, one man's hero is another man's tyrant and you need to respect that because he has done ALOT for black Cubans, he was an angel for some and a demon for others, recognize that about everyone who pics up a gun.

  • @PDRO4LYFE So are you trying to say?? Any human with brains knows communist have brought more harm than good...Russians used him just like they have used other third world countries leaders, Communist have killed countless innocent people around the world, and there is no stable government that they gave birth to. How could somebody corrupt to the core like Filthy Fidel be the champion of the poor?...Babylon is the same shit it ain't where they at or who they have helped.

  • @MzeeDala Fuck Communism, i was just pointing out that Capitalism and its leaders kill more. I dont approve of any of them.

  • I feel you about Tech. People gotta realize all people are capable of evil. Revolutionist, conservatives, americans, somalians it doesnt matter.

  • It really depends on what you want to get out of the music. If you look in my favorites, you'll see that I have rap from everywhere, hyphy, east coast, old school, political, etc. Every rapper is good in some way. I don't like most of the mainstream songs, but you know what? when you listen to some other songs they got on the album, they'll have deeper msg's. I hated Camillionaire until I listened deep into some shit he had to say in songs people never heard of.

  • i just hate how underrated lupe actually is if you listen to him ryhme and his lyrics he has some pretty good stuff

  • he ain't underrated if you compare with how lupe's popular than k'naan...so i don't get why you bring that up on this page

  • Because they were talking about "real rappers" i wasnt the first to mention a different rapper. Saying he's popular just becuse the guy your comparing him to is silly, if i was to say i was rich becuase i have more money then a homeless person it just seems like a very bad anology

  • i don't understand who you say is silly cause either k'naan or lupe fiasco is that....they are both very good and talented rappers that i like to listen to alot...The cool(song) has been given a good ground in hiphop also the cool(the album).

  • im not saying either of them are silly, i meant saying lupe is well known just becuase k'naan isnt was silly

  • @TupacShakurRap there's still nas, and mos def. but thats it

  • @TupacShakurRap he is powerful. but please check out - One Be Lo, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Chiddy Bang,

  • @TupacShakurRap LOL no hes not your just lazy, theres alot of underground rappers....keepin it real...

  • @TupacShakurRap no he's not don't be ridiculous!

  • @TupacShakurRap no he's not don't be ridiculous!

  • @TupacShakurRap So true. 2Pac and K'Naan, the best rappers to grace us.

  • @TupacShakurRap dont forget mos def

  • @TupacShakurRap

...Tupac Shakur Rap.. K'NAAN is absolutely tops. But to say he's the only real rapper left, that is a sad stretch and disregardss an immense amount of talented artists. I was just listening to Damian Marley before this track, and I still feel however good K'Naan is he still can't hold a candle to Damian.

  • @fosho19891 - He's a different rapper, I agree a lot are still left, Common, Nas, Q-Tip, etc.

  • @fosho19891 yes he easly can...

  • i need to find the lyrics to this song...anyone know where i can find them?

    Link would be jam

  • i love non mainstream media rappers. great song

  • i love you. great comment

  • saxiibayaal waxaan idin xasusinayaa in murtita iyo maansooyinka aanu u leenahay dhaqan iyo hido ama sugaanta. dib u fiiriya murtidii sayid maxamed careys ciis; yam yam; abshir bacadle dhoonaan iyo ku kale badan

  • This song has such great power and feeling it makes me want too do somthing anything.

  • I feel you and thats what hip hop is suppose to make you feel. To bad people cant see real artist like knaan and others.

  • dude. STFU. you're a fukin dumbass. K'naan is not a mainstream rapper at all. all of his songs have heart in them, go listen and you will find out. stupid ass prick don't talk about people before you know the facts...

  • so he's not the guy 4rm madden 09/mtv/radio? He is wat he is. a good mainstream rapper. calm down kiddo, cuz those r facts. lol. Ur the prick cuz u don't know how 2 even leave a comment w/out having a hissy fit.

  • Damn Striaght, Man. If he was singin for recognition he wouldn't be singing about things that matter too him. He's singing about thing's that need too be noticed not about how he shot the cop and screwed your wife.

  • Lol so apparently T-Pain and Lil Wayne are underground rappers. They are not mainstream XD

  • ur right, they are not mainstream, they r commercial. get ur hip hop 101 correct boys.

  • I was being sarcastic.

They are creations of high money corporations..but then again, all rappers, underground or not, are part of high money corporations.

  • well yea, most rappers are in it 4 the money/recognition. But there are a few that just want theire message out, bottom line. Otem relik, bluebird, astronautolis, for ex. True artists. This guy is really skilled, no doubt, but thats not to say he hasn't made a song or 2 4 sum reconition, and not 4 music's sake. I still like a lot of his shit tho, ie. kweli mos def, wu-tang type guys.

  • Yeah man..Some of the guys you named are really good.

We can't really say much about some one who's striving to make money you know? Some seek recognition to get money..just so they can live. Some rappers OVER LIVE. hahaha

Man..I love Wu Tang. Never gets old.

  • this song is so.... no, just cant describe its greatness and power.

makes me wanna sit in afrika, just watching the sunset.

  • just so real.

  • just what I need, some real shit. this cat is fire!!!

  • "Damn you, this circumstance too, I cant stand you, you make a mockery of our struggle like hollywood plants do"

  • hey bro,i give you a thumbs up for noticing that line.....seriously they do that in many movies

  • Ive been listening to K'naan for a while now.....hes seriously one of the realest artists in any genre of music....peace to K'naan and cheers to rappers who dont sellout

  • ya he is my favorite artist

but now it's weird to listen to oter music because i just can't take it seriously

  • best rapper/poet alive

  • I'm feelin a few of his songs but it sounds obvious that Talib Kwali, and Mos Def had a big influence on him. as far as his rap roots..

  • Rakim and Nas got him into Hip Hop.

  • K'naan sounds nothing like talib or mos def to me. In fact i have never heard any artist come close to being as real as k'naan except for pac and i have NEVER heard any artist with a style similar to this.

  • andre3000/outkast comes close to some of these styles;

but no where near his heart

    I Love k'naan

  • @starplaya93 he sounds, not is like, eminem in his delivery on lines sometimes

  • Antis like this give's me a reason to still love music ....

  • this song makes me cry... really deep for us

  • wow nice Music.... Viva Knaan

  • this guy is a true artist..

    love the song.

    5/5

  • is this part of until the lion learns to speak? dont think so but its in the same track when i play it.

  • No, it is not part of Until the lions learns to speak....it was a hidden track that he recorded in late 97 just like few of his other songs are old work!... Knaan destroys the whack ass rappers that are polluting the main stream. We need him and few others to overthrow the already falling whack industry! Peace 2 all

  • Magnificent track. Undenieble deep thoughtful lyrics. Listen to this i cannot barricade my thoughts from drifting aimlessly back to my country and hometown xamar, from when i was a young boy.

I guess this track makes you stop and think " hey, how is it going in the horn, how is it with the poets, the women and the orphans" Just illustrates the depth of his moral somali being and character. A solid representation and beneficence to the somalia darod family.
