  • lololol guy butchered Digeseres name pronunciation...worst thing that ever happened to that place was lose him, until of course they started the uniforms....fuck that place....best times of my life making the best of it though lololol

  • Omg I wasnt in KHS then i was in washington school in kearny. That was scary cuz there was dubry even far away like that

  • Growing up in the 70's I watched them build Giants Stadium from my English class window, and of course the twin towers were an every day site my entire young life. Seeing them disappear was quite difficult. Kearny High was always the first and highest vantage point rising up from the meadowlands. I'm glad they did something like this, even if it immortalized a small group, though the young fella in the video was well spoken and represented well....

  • I was in KHS when they built this.. everyone hated it because the honor society decided to put their big fat ugly faces on the plaque. There was even a petition going around with hundreds of signatures wanting them to replace it without their faces on it. The national honor society people said they wanted it to look like their faces were looking out the windows at the WTC. Basically, no one liked it but the 7 or so people who got immortalized on that thing. Lame.

  • Snooze...and lose. That Life 101. If you had done something about it, you would have felt differently. These NHS kids knew that talk was cheap and they actually did something to memorialize KHS alumni that died along with the other.

  • "That Life 101"? I was going to say you must have been one of those NHS students but you definitely don't talk like one.

  • Just for your information, I was actually one of the honor society officers and I wanted to let you know that this was a project EVERYONE in the honor society worked on, not just us. The etched stone design was a donation from the architect and it's extremely rude for someone to donate thousands of dollars to your project just to throw it away. The original plans were abstract images of faces and when we asked people to show up for a random shot of random faces,

  • the faces you see are who showed up. Not everyone there was an honor society officer. In fact, my face is actually not on the monument at all. So please, get your facts straight before you start running your mouth on a public forum and making yourself sound ignorant. You're kind of ruining the Kearny reputation for the rest of us.

  • I remember this day like if it was yesterday... all I know is that I worked in Newark NJ and Lived @ Kearny NJ and it normally takes me about 15 minutes to get home but on 9/11 it took me almost 3 hours to get home...

  • haha im glad i graduated, stay in class fools

  • wow! i was a student at khs for 4 yrs nd i jst graduated...i heard all the stories about 911 and they are shockin...but thanks God they knew how to handle the situation....now when you look out the windows from some classrooms you can not see those towers that were part of our view and of our nation.

  • God bless Kearny.

  • whoaa. khs def.. rocks... i'm going to be a sophomore at khs this year.. and i always see that plack down near the tracks
