The composer was Edd Kalehoff, he worked for Score Productions which composed practically lots of game show themes such as The Price is Right, Family Feud (from the Dawson/Combs era), Match Game and many others

Kalehoff composed most of the prize cue music for TPIR; however, this theme for "The New Price is Right" was composed by Score's Sheila Cole and arranged by Kalehoff. "Family Feud's" theme was composed by Robert Israel. Kalehoff did compose both "Card Sharks" themes (the first of which was titled "Double Dare", as it was writted for the original Alex Trebek-hosted game) and Marc Summers' "Double Dare". The two themes of the original TPIR were by Broadway's Charles Strouse and Bob Cobert.

That's interesting and it doesn't really surprise me because all of the cues up to the death of Mark Goodson and the All-American/Femantle takeover had his style. I noticed after Barker took over as executive producer that the Kalehoff/Score credit was removed entirely and assistant director Stanley Blits was suddenly being credited. Score isn't even being credited on "Family Feud" even though the original theme is thankfully back again.
