This is too bad that its abandoned...its fascinating to though, Imagine "the grand opening" of this hospital when it was first built...Imagine all the miracles preformed by the genious doctors in here...then lack of funding or something like that shuts this monster of a facility down...and here it sits...letting earth re-claim it...looked a bit aged but still a very nice hospital...thanks for sharing I have enjoyed this video 3 times now...thanks again for the wonderful music to..:)

@ANDrew80818 Actually you wouldn't believe what happened to me and 9 of my buddies.. We went into the last abandoned insane asylum within 200 miles of my home, and we went upstairs, and heard something in a room, so one of my buddies shined a light in there and we saw some guy and he charged at us.. Now in my state it's legal to carry a fully loaded assault rifle (Fully automatic if you so desire) openly, I only had a pistol, but we called the police and shot the guy in the leg. Was on drugs. --

why would they demolish this when they go out spend millions on new hospital equiptment and build a new hospital when they can spend a few hundred dollars getting some new bedding and sweeping the place up. this is just like a normal hospital. no need for new ones

Wow, awesome video, great stuff! Too bad the destroyed such a big, and wonderful, historic site. Happens often here in NY, too. But for the NE U.S., I noticed the govt. is more inclined to renovate the old buildings or preserve them unless they are just in terrible shape. Then they raze them.

@orteca in Amsterdam staat nu een gebouw leeg (het oude gebouw van het academisch tandheelkundig centrum Amsterdam). het is een enorm gebouw van 8 verdiepingen. misschien een tip voor jullie volgende video? (hoelang het nog leeg staat weet ik niet, want er word een studentenhuis van gemaakt). jullie videos zijn namelijk erg mooi en interessant :)

@orteca geen idee, ik rij er nooit meer langs sinds ze in het nieuwe gebouw zitten. maar veel ramen in het oude gebouw zijn stuk of er zitten rolluiken voor. in die vier jaar dat ik daar patient ben geweest heb ik zoveel herrineringen aan dat gebouw. de muffe lucht, defecte liften en stoelen die rookten omdat de kabels smolten (waar ik in zat :P)

Most dangerous things:ive been chases away by 2 agressive junky's with something in their hands at a location.

Also stumbled one time on 3 wierd guy's with iron sticks in their hands, but they turned out to be nice.

@GothicPrinzessin i do not mean to speak for the author of the film but most dangerous thing you come in contact with is mold,aspestice products, abandoned chemicals and other toxic ailments and the possibility of poor integrity of the building, the homeless pose almost no threat leave them be if any if you encounter anyone that is also there looking chances are high that you would spook them and yourself. watch your step and make sure your shots are up to date carry work gloves and good boots.

Nah we entered around 5 pm(it was still dark), and just when we were inside. two other strange people were fast walking towards us, i greeted them quickly.(it was clear, that they were not explorers)to avoid meeting them again, we waited until sunrise on the roof. after that we heard some other sounds, but that could be anything.

This building is being demolished by the demolition Pongers

on Saturday, June 19, 2010, the chapel fire for possibly intentionally so it must be ignited because the power is off for the whole hospital

soon will be videos of the hospital made it become a tour by myself and my father is doing a tour I will also pass the elevators buttons are essentially been left running by me was the executor of the demolition I'm also in the engine room of the lifts

Dit is echt uniek om te zien. Zeker als je er (zoals ik) herinneringen aan bewaard. Ik weet wel te vermelden dat inmiddels de achtergebleven spullen weg zijn. Alles is in containers verpakt een naar Congo getransporteert. Althans dit heb ik ergens gelezen. Ik zou graag ook eens willen zien hoe het er nu uitziet. Prachtige beelden en in combinatie met de muziek lopen de rillingen je soms over de rug. Ben benieuwd hoe lang het gebouw er nog blijft staan. Ik raak er niet op uitgekeken. Respect!!

For me it was strange walking true those long empty corridors, and seeing all those rooms. But youve been there many times, then it must be really strange and fascinating to see it in its current state.

the church I currently attend was a church that was attached to a hospital. They tore down the hospital but left the chapel. It was a huge gothic chapel. Thanks for sharing this video... too bad they coud not have saved the church.
