The books are always better and that's a fact. But when you're reading a book you always picture the characters in your head well I do at least and I always pictured Alexis Bledel from the Gilmore Girls or Kirsten as Bella I don't know why but I did. Bella describes herself as plain and pale but there is like an awkwardness about her that is likeable and Kirsten captured that I think.
@XSakuuchaanX The whole series sucks my dear.....you want real vampires, read Bram Stoker's Dracula, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, or watch either Van Helsing or The Hunger with Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon.
@Jakegothicsnake I read Bram Stroker's Dracula and to tell you the truth the movie version with Gary Oldman as Dracula directed by Frances Ford Coppola took it to the next level and it kicked the books ass.
Stephanie Meyer should never had made this series. If I was making it, I would have mad A LOT of changes to the story and characters. No sparkling, whole series spans over several years, Edward and Bella are always refered to as "Ed/Eddie and Elle/Ella/Ellie" Jacob DOES NOT hook up with their daughter, who's name would be changed to 'Vanessa" instead of Renessme, and Ellie(Bella) would NOT become a vampire. And that's not even the whole list of changes that are seriiously needed.
Ok, I think the film is good, however it isnt enough for me.. the book is better, reasons why:
1) Missed out far too much! (Blood type is my fave chapter and the missed it out >:( )
2) They changed things about.. like the la push beach bit..
3) Before the film noone knew anything about twilight now the film came out everyone went mad..it's like HSM all over again! and Twilight is nothing like HSM!!!
Personally I think they ruined the movie. The books are amazing though. I would have really liked to have seen Bella played by somone who could actually act. Kristen did ok in other movies but in twilight she acted like she really didn't like Edward. If you havn't read the books and go see the movie most people are confused by their relationship. And what is up with leaving important stuff out like the volturi ans carlisle's background, kinda important later in the books.
Sorry, but the movie destroyed the book. They expanded on and added more violence just to try to appeal to the male audience. The best movie would've stayed closer to the book and stuck to the tender, romantic moments between Edward and Bella without having to add needless scenes.
Twilight is not the only case. There are a HUGE amount of books destroyed by their movies. And people like them, just because they`re lazy to read some more pages and use their imagination to create the characters. :(
the thing that annoyed me with the movie was the whole "animal attack" reports. First off, we don't even hear about that till New Moon. Second, yeah the attacks were vampires killing people, but when Victoria was leading the cops in a different direction, her footprint totally ruined it. I don't see how they'll fit that in New Moon cuz it was really the wolves' prints they would find, which is why Bella later thinks Jacob and the other wolves are killing people... you know.
I know I hate what they did to the movie they had almost every sean of the movie wrong the may say they got it off the book but they where far off another thing that annoyed me about the movie was the book was much deper in the first kiss and the kiss did not take place in her room it took place ater edward took her to the medow.
that is new moon, and the animal attacks are victoria, laurent and james hunting in the area, in the second one it was victoria looking for bella and not being able to get to her because of the werewolves chasing her away, at the moment there are hardly any werewolves about, probably just sam and he's hiding out somewhere probably after hurting emily or whatever
i dont really like how kristen acts either because she stutters a lot. a good example is at the end when they're in the hospital. lol u should watch that part!
Nope, Bella's hair is brown, but it was just stated that when her hair is in the sun, it's red. Kristen's natural hair colour I think, is a deep brown with traces of black...not sure. Somewhere along the lines of that :)
On contrary I sorta liked Kristen. She may have appeared to have no emotions but, in the book, it was stated that Bella was sorta plain and boring, no eccentric like her mother. I thought this portrayal was pretty accurate to the book in terms of how she acted. I don't know, that's just my opinion of course :)
Rob did...fine...as Edward. I never imagined such a soft-spoken Edward. I imagined him a bit more playful. But still good. Other than that, all the other actors seemed great.
Kristen seems to act like her portrayal of Bella, can't seem to stop stammering. I was prepared for a whole mess of cuts from the book, of course, but I would've accepted it if she acted more in love. Maybe Kristen tried to act as the awkward teenager but I guess she overdid it. To me, she seemed nervous and lacking emotion.
i disagree I would go see the movie then read the book bc at some parts ist vary confusing and also if you read the book first you probablly will be disaponited with the movie
Yeah, that's what I said in another video. I agree. It's best to watch the movie first. Reading the book, then watching the movie, it'll be a disappointment. But if a person watches the movie, then reads the book, the book will be more of a treat with all the extra scenes and stuff. Much more delicious and enjoyable, in my opinion.

Books are obsolete. This is the internet age, GET WITH THE TIMES YOU BUNCH OF BACKWARDS ILITERATES!! why spend 40 hours reading a book that is done in a 2 HOUR MOVIE?? face it guys it's over reading is FINISHED!! in the future i hope to remove reading from school curriculum to maximize efficiency why spend time learning a useless skill??!!!
I think the movie is to show the readers a diffrent prospective of the story. Since, Stephanie Meyer helps the director a lot of the movie. She feels that it would be a great idea to put the book into a movie for those of you who are too lazy too read a very meaningfull book... thanks =]
In the book they don't fly, in the movie they do, well jump long enough to look like it is flying, that was a bit upsetting. There are differences, lots, the fight scene isn't right. But oh well. :) Still looks like awesome fun!
The books are WAY better too many important things are left out

@ChineseMel Kristen's Hair Is Naturally Blonde But Thats Not The Point...
XgeoXluvsXcatsx 1 year ago
@XgeoXluvsXcatsx She's not naturally blond-haired. If you googled the pics you saw of her blonde, it's cause she dyed it that colour for a role.
