(If you're worried about them retaliating against you, don't tell them that you live in the house behind them, just say that you live "in the neighborhood") Get a feel for them, try to figure out if they're good people or bad people. Just get to know them a bit if you can.

The owner of the property should get in trouble for allowing a public nuisance to exist on his property. Legal liability could exist. I`would use gas and burn their stuff everyday. If that failed, a hundred pounds of broken glass scattered on the site should work. Collecting neighbors dog poop and depositing there would also help. Homeless people that aren't mentally ill are either lazy or anti social. I've been down and out with no money before, but I have friends that helped me out. I'm back on my feet now. I worked at the bus station and I would have to physically sandwich myself inbetween a panhandler and his intended victim to say, "It is my duty to inform you that panhandling is not allowed on the premesis". If they don't have a place to live I'd call the cops and have them arrested for trespassing. that would give them a place to go. For all you haters out there I spent 10 years homeless. It seems mean to kick the homeless folks out of there, but it was a smart thing to do. Something bad would have happened no matter what. TRy talking to the homeless people, tell them that their actions are bothering you. (If you're worried about them retaliating against you, don't tell them that you live in the house behind them, just say that you live "in the neighborhood") Get a feel for them, try to figure out if they're good people or bad people. Just get to know them a bit if you can.
If you just can't reason with them, then get the cops involved.

The owner of the property should get in trouble for allowing a public nuisance to exist on his property. Legal liability could exist. I`would use gas and burn their stuff everyday. If that failed, a hundred pounds of broken glass scattered on the site should work. Collecting neighbors dog poop and depositing there would also help. Most drinking homeless have severe problems that you do not want around your family. They are not people just down on their luck.

I worked at the bus station and I would have to physically sandwich myself inbetween a panhandler and his intended victim to say, "It is my duty to inform you that panhandling is not allowed on the premesis". I was a real prick about it too, doing the nose to nose, eye to eye drill sgt imitation. My patrons were very appreciative of my efforts. As long as they mind their own business and don't congregate I leave them alone.
