  • nice work!

  • Love the music. What Genre would this sort of music be classed as.

  • Sounds like a mixture of classical, tribal and techno. I suggest you check out the soundtrack to the first Lara Croft movie. There are 3 tracks in there by techno artists Delerium, Leftfield and Groove Armada which sound a lot like what's being played on this video.

  • i feel bad for the bees struggling for their life trying to get out of the tube plant. Flies are gay they can all die.

  • I love carnivorous plants, this video is phenomenal, can you please tell me the name of the song?

  • wow. This is the first plant video i LOVE!!! Um.. heh xD Well I like Carnivorous Plants ok... 8)hehe...

Awesome video and the music was perfect for this one. and deadly enough. =)

  • Witch Nepenthes species is shown at 2:30 till 2:37????

  • Nepenthes ramispina * macfarlanei

  • Beautiful plants, 5-star vid.

Critter trapping one-way tubes, gooey, sticky prongs and surfaces that slowly curl in on the prey...all are impressive adaptations to nutrition-impoverished soil. But nothing is as over-the-top FREAKY as what the Venus' flytrap has managed to accomplish. How does it do it? Through a combination of everything from something called "fast growth" (along the outer edge of the trap's hinge), electrical impulses, something involving calcium ions...huh, what? Uncanny.

  • nice video and beautiful Pinguicula... do you own all these plants?

  • what plant is that on 1:15?

  • its the sarracenia purpurea

  • Superb video. This demonstrates the evolution of the docile plant at it's finest ^-^ they've come a long way from ferns.

The music sounds like something from .Hack xD I LOVED it, it was matched perfectly!

  • geez the green tuberous ones kicked but

  • Nice little waterfall in the first scene! I love carnivores. Fun video!

    The Pond Digger

  • Wonderful vid, thank you!!

  • I'd like to point out this Darwin VS Creationist argument is just a cop out to the real argument...

You can easily incorporate both into your theories without breaking the other, they are so loosely defined. The real moron is the one who thinks one somehow disproves the other.

The only argument worth my time in the Atheist vs Spiritual category is whether existence is conscious of itself (AKA "God").

Religions, however, are sets of distorted definitions of spirituality, and therefor, useless.

  • what plant is at 1:05? sry im to confused to folow the order.

  • Sarracenia leucophylla

  • You grow these outdoors? Your home town is listed as Padua, I didn't know they'd weather a winter over outdoors in Italy.

I keep my plants (flytraps, pitcher, bladderwort, sundew) outdoors here (Tennessee) for the winter. But wasn't sure how they would do in other parts of the world where they aren't native.

    Thank you for the video.

  • I think PETA should have these nasty plants banned! Fly meat is murder!

  • lol!

  • Great vid but the song titles were not in latin characters... where can I find that tune???

  • What's the name of the song used in the video?

  • By the way, vandammerules87, you mention beneficial mutations. Can you give me an example of one?

  • Why can't the ones with wings fly out?

  • because many flying insects take off at a 45% angle and can't take off straight up.

BTW, Vandammerules, you misspelled "beneficial," "you're," and "mutations" (and forgot to use apostrophes in your contractions.) i understand Darwin's THEORY perfectly well. the reason that it is a THEORY is because it cannot, nor ever has been proven. Darwin himself stated that the single biggest problem that he saw in his THEORY was the complete lack of transitional forms in the fossil record...

  • ... which should -according to the THEORY- GREATLY outnumber the fossils of modern day creatures. there are literally no transitional forms found in the fossil record. each time a new kind of creature appears in the fossil record it is fully formed and virtually indistinguishable from its modern-day progeny. do some research.

    have a nice day. :)

  • ...which means that ALL of those unique features had to be present in the very first pitcher plants. QED.

  • amazing!

all i know is anyone who can look at a vid like this and comprehend how amazing the diversity of life on this planet is and think that it all 'evolved that way is a moron. what happened to the first pitcher plants before they had that slippery waxy lip or the little hairs pointing down or the umbrella to keep them from filling up with rain water or the juice to digest the bugs? remove ANY of those components and the plants die and can't survive to pass on their genes.

  • I agree

  • I agree with buckeye

  • Ivbuckeye you are a complete tosser and a moron. Its basic evolution retard, survival of the fittest, plants that didnt have the 'little hairs pointing down' etc. simply died, and didnt pass on their genes, as they couldnt survive. What you see in this video are the plants that were able to survive due to benefitial mutiations, evolution etc. Thus, being able to pass on their genes.

You are the moron, take ure head out of ure ass and go study first grade biology.

  • lol, great spelling. use the brain that the Good Lord gave you and think. they would have had to have the waxy lip mutation, the downward hairs mutation the digestive juices mutation, and the umbrella mutation ALL AT THE SAME TIME, otherwise they wouldn't be fit enough to survive. the odds against that are so atronomical that at this point it's easier to believe in special creation.

  • Good call. That goes for every living thing and every biological process. Think about sexual reproduction. According to evolutionists the first organism with a sexual organ had to find an organism that evolved compatible organs at the same exact time in the same exact place. Think of the odds of that.

  • Ivbuckeye, pfettig77, and all other idiots who cant comprehend simple science, go and read darwins theory of evolution, it explains things simply, and coherently, of how life has evolved. Christ, you people are thick as pig shit you really are, go to fucking school or read a science book.

By the way buckeye, there was nothing wrong with my spelling in previous posts, so kindly take your head out of your own ass and shut the fuck up.

  • Hey, why are you so angry? Why do your curse so much? I understand evolution very well - well enough to know it's silly. You aren't giving me any specifics to back your (or Darwin's) theory up. In order for evolution to work you need random, beneficial mutations - and lots of them. Can you name one? If animals slowly evolved over millions of years, where are all the transitional fossils? I suspect that you know very little about evolution yourself. Do you blindly believe everything you hear?

  • Oh, Btw. I wouldn't comment on Vandammerules's spelling seeing how you have no sentence capitalized...

  • I'm very sorry, but I just have to reply to this...

Buckeye...does this make an automatic moron? First of all, you're acting as though they can't survive without be carnivorous...they can live without being fed. Second of all, of course they slowly developed all that. Not one plant, even same species are the same. Not every single gene is the same. Otherwise, we would all look the same. There wouldn't even be species or different kingdoms if there weren't mutations...They didn't all poof in.

  • These videos remind me of the commercial we have here locally about copper theives. "Bob was a cop that died in the line of duty. Karen died fighting breast cancer. John was a copper theif that died trying to steal copper. How do you want to be known?

In the insect, Wasp died after stinging a kid. Hornet died defending its home. Fly died messing around in the plant that ate him. How do you want to be known?

  • 1:00 is a goner

  • haha!!

  • awsome music but i could do without the chanting

  • WOW are all of them yours? sweet! those plants azre very interesting, though at 8500ft not alot of really cool plats live

  • hey, i like the song... what is the title of the song??? thx--

    btw,nice plant..

someday, the plant will eat u..

  • Song is Kajiura Yuki - Mezame
