  • This video is about 20 years old and was taken from the Steinway Japan website.

  • Steinway in Shanghai use German components and English timbers

  • kinda looks like stedman at 5:20

  • A Steinway Piano factory in Germany, narrated in Japanese. Am I the only one here who's confused, I mean how does that fit in anywhere?

  • Well Henry Steinway was German... and um.. maybe they are trying to expand to the Japanese market?

  • Yeah, I did know why it was in Germany, just didn't really expect it to be narrated in Japanese. You might be right about the expansion part though, never thought of that myself.

  • It's quite simple, actually. The Steinway factory in Hamburg caters to "everywhere" outside North America (the NY factory only supplies America). Consequently, a Japanese distributor wanting to extoll the virtues of the production of its Steinway produce would go to Hamburg to film the production there..

  • I really wish I could understand japanese

  • same here..lol

  • I LOVE PIANOS

  • Unfortunately, I do not speak Japanese that well. I wish I had kept up my Japanese skills. I am sure that this video is also available in English.

  • yeah i understand .... :(
