For example starting at 00:30 you see a pedestrian walking just normally on the road. But immediately the Camera turns away from him, filming totally senseless a part of a wall. If there would be "enemy" shooting noone would march without any hurry on the road.
Very brave cameraman thats for sure but I have to say im not impressed with the rebels tactics, they have buildings all around that would provide much better cover yet they are fighting on the street with no cover and they dont even bother to move positions after firing no wonder they got flanked.

Gaddafi has won the battle for Libya by now all he has to do is simply eliminate pockets of resistance one by one unless the rebels become much better organized . Oh, well (shrug). Better to deal with the devil you know, from a foreign point of view. In the end things will go back to the sweet status quo. and that will be to the best for Libya as well as other countries.

But with Gaddafi's control of the air from early on the protestors havent been able to get to the military depos where tanks and etc are stored. Gaddafi spent the last couple decades gutting his army. This i a bunch of civillians with no military training with only some smattering of military personel against murdering mercenaries and others in Gaddafi's pockets who can and do bomb the protestors.

Rest assure that they will get none, lip service set aside. Gadaffi will stay in power, at least for the time being. There are two armed sides (one of them more showcasing) that are fighting for control. The rebel side has not yet illustrated itself as ideologically closer or friendlier to the West than the Gadaffi side. AFAIK, it is even likely to be much more fundamentalist, unstable, and a big source of future problems. A worst case scenario is Iran reloaded, in Europe's backyard.

Very brave cameraman thats for sure but I have to say im not impressed with the rebels tactics, they have buildings all around that would provide much better cover yet they are fighting on the street with no cover and they dont even bother to move positions after firing no wonder they got flanked.
They need to take lessons from insurgents in Afghanistan and Iraq etc and learn to shoot and move the fuck on, they are outnumbered and need to start fighting a guerilla war if they wish to survive

There was a long pause between the assaults, they were attempting a compromise/political solution ("Fallujah Brigade"), and by doing this they actually allowed the enemy forces to fortify and prepare there unmolested.

@punipunipunisher That's correct, but that doesn't mean anything in this comparison. The main thing is that if this is a "medieval siege" as Western officials make it out to be, then how come more people died in Fallujah than in Misrata? Death tolls are a good sign of the severity of fighting.
And in one case it was a foreign army crushing a city it was trying to occupy, and in the other it's the national government trying to reassert control.

If only the Libyans had half a brain they might actually have a chance and winning or at least fight Gadaffi's forces to a standstill. Seems like the rebels are more interested in looking good in front of cameras than trying to learn how to fight a battle against superior forces.

But with Gaddafi's control of the air from early on the protestors havent been able to get to the military depos where tanks and etc are stored. Gaddafi spent the last couple decades gutting his army. This i a bunch of civillians with no military training with only some smattering of military personel against murdering mercenaries and others in Gaddafi's pockets who can and do bomb the protestors.

We all saw what happened in Iraq when they said theyll help get rid of a tyrant. The only reason they wanna go in is not to help, but is for the oil, and Libya has lots of it. If the US etc really did wanna help get rid of a tyrant why not go to zimbabwe? Its because they dont have oil. Also, dont forget, the Libyans have not forgotten what happened in 1986. Its not easy to forgive after something like that you know.

Libyans don't want the west's help, yet the rebels are yelling into the cameras 'help us please!!' and are BEGGING the west to establish a no fly zone? Is that why the Arab League is supporting the no fly zone idea as well, because the rebels are doing so well now? Libyan rebels are GETTING THEIR ASSES HANDED TO THEM AND THEY'RE RETREATING LIKE CRAZY!
At this point, I think the Libyans are praying more for western weapons and supplies than they are to Allah for devine intervention.

Rest assure that they will get none, lip service set aside. Gadaffi will stay in power, at least for the time being. There are two armed sides (one of them more showcasing) that are fighting for control. The rebel side has not yet illustrated itself as ideologically closer or friendlier to the West than the Gadaffi side. AFAIK, it is even likely to be much more fundamentalist, unstable, and a big source of future problems. A worst case scenario is Iran reloaded, in Europe's backyard.

How is it racist to say that the Libyans are shit fighters? Look at the situation now. The UN is bombing the holy hell out of Gaddafi's forces and still experts are saying the rebels are so disorgranized and shitty fighters that ground troops might be necessary if they want to get rid of Gaddafi.
This is what I was afraid of. Should have never went to help in the first place because it always go downhill when the west tries to help in the mideast.

Someone should have got into one of those building's top and fire with a heavy dose into the Gadafi forces, so that the shooter will get a safer accurate and elevated view over the target and achieve an incinerating attack.

After any fight the memories of those gone remain with the survivors. I've lost almost all my family in the struggle for life, not a war. But as the years advance we feel things wont ever be the same without them.
