You are correct. SSRI's can cause withdrawal symptoms. It takes more than a few days though. An SSRI, like Prozac, doesn't leave a patients system the day after they take it. It takes a week or so (once they've become a regular user). The patient might gradually show more symptoms of anxiety or depression but they wouldn't "crave" the medication. That's all I'm saying.

I work in the field of mental health. Prozac is an anti-anxiety/depression medication, an SSRI which stays in the system for several days once you are a regular user. It's not like Klonipin or some other anti-anxiety that would give someone a high. That old guy is full of crap when he says he's craving it after a few days.

You are correct. SSRI's can cause withdrawal symptoms. It takes more than a few days though. An SSRI, like Prozac, doesn't leave a patients system the day after they take it. It takes a week or so (once they've become a regular user). The patient might gradually show more symptoms of anxiety or depression but they wouldn't "crave" the medication. That's all I'm saying.

Is the one hillbillies name "Lonzo"? On top of ALL the OTHER challeges he faces, on top of that....he got "hit in the head", too. Hillbillies seem to routinely get kicked in the head by mules; his injury was the result of a car accident. Still, the end result is the same. Sucks being him. I work in the field of mental health. Prozac is an anti-anxiety/depression medication, an SSRI which stays in the system for several days once you are a regular user. It's not like Klonipin or some other anti-anxiety that would give someone a high. That old guy is full of crap when he says he's craving it after a few days.
