@jokkobengo I have. And it's total possible for someone to be imitating someone else as a general mannerism. Your example of dancing is to vague to even apply in the general sense but if you apply it to a specific example then it works. For example if someone is doing the moonwalk they're imitating Michael Jackson to a certain extent. It's not really even relevant whether or not he imitates Mayer all the time or just when doing covers of him, he's still imitating.

True, if someone does a moonwalk they imitate a dance move that Michael Jackson invented. John Mayer did not invet the facial expressions. I have a friend that plays the piano. He does wierd faces when he plays and sings. He doesn't try to imitate John Mayer. He plays on feeling. I still think you can't say that he does imitate John Mayer because you don't know if he does. @jokkobengo It's irrelevant as to whether or not John Mayer invented "his face". Hendrix didn't invent playing with his teeth (or tongue more correctly) but he popularized it and therefore when someone does it they can be said to be imitating him. Making a "weird face" is not the same as making a face that is recognizable reminiscent of Mayer. While I agree that it's possible that it COULD be coincidence I don't think it's likely considering he's covering a Mayer song.

As for being able to perform Neon,good for you bro i can play it and sing it well myself but i have difficulty on the ending of the Solo which he does in the "Where The Light Is" concert and still trying to perfect it.
