  • I BET PEOPLE R POSTING PRON ON PRONHUB

  • 'standard' according to whom Adam? Is there such a thing as standard?

  • It's funny how most people in my town around my age can barely do 2 pull ups.

  • @MrJsquared91

You obviously A over weight, tosser.

  • when should i inhale and exhale when doing pull ups?

  • @sg047133181 just like any exercise. Exhale during exertion...when pulling up.

  • @sg047133181 This doesn't matter as much as it does with other movements. It's popular to exhale on the most difficult part (the concentric, lifting part) so breathe out as you go up, in as you lower yourself down, I assume.

  • I lack a few months to 16 years and I eat it to do pull ups but after making the lumbar area of my back is much peanuts that is not to warm up before or is still too young to do and does harm to my back, I weigh 60 kilos and 1.77 m, who is helping me understand this subject, thanks

  • @mauriinhocosta what are you talking about dude. Your post makes no sense. Will gladly help you if I can...

  • Now..........how did u do that???

  • What is most effective for building up your biceps, pull ups, chin ups, behind the head pull ups, or the neutral position?

  • For building biceps is chin ups

  • These bitches on youtube talkin bout down on people just to make themselves feel better. STFU! If u dont like to watch it why bother to leave hate comments. Btw, your pull up is perfect.

  • his pull ups are pretty good man. stop hating

  • this guy blows goats... expert my arse!

  • i like expert villiage but that doesent explain much

  • Who cares if he struggles to say his lines.

  • Check my page for different pull up variations :)

  • why is this guy nervous, he struggles to say his lines sometimes. if you watched his bench press demo, its the same struggling

  • how good is 20 pull ups ?

  • gooood, i consider myself good and i can do in a row 20, but if i want to do sets i have to do sets of 10 :(

  • pretty much the maximum for points in every branch of the military, so it is VERY good

  • pretty standard. 50 is very good, and 100 is fbi pass.

  • :PxD fbi pass , u seri. ??xD

  • chin ups pull ups who the hell cares...im ready 2 get started!!!

  • chin ups are actually easier than pull ups

  • yes

  • dumbass does are chin ups

  • what groups of muscles you work when you makes pull ups?

  • Pull ups work out the back muscles and chin ups work out the biceps.

The only difference between chin ups and pull ups is that during pull ups, your hands face out and chin ups, your hands face you.

  • slimkt, both the pull-up and the chin-up work the back muscles and the biceps. However, the bicep is emphasized more in the chin-up and the pull-up emphasizes the forearm more.

  • Whats the difference between your palms inside facing you or outside facing the opposite direction

  • pull ups are with your palms facing the opposite direction, palms facing your you are called chin ups.

  • Yeah but do they work different muscles or......

  • im not sure

  • Pull ups primarily train your bag. Chin ups your biceps.

  • is can only 3 times geting up=/

  • A few questions.

Should I look straight ahead of keep my chin up towards the bar?

What does keep your shoulder blades retracted mean?

Let's say I do 10 sets of 1 or 6 sets of 2, can I do pullups every day?

  • look up towards the sky at all times.

just go all the way down, all the way up

yes, keep on doing pullups as many as you can throughout the day... once u can do 3 sets of 13 u are more less advanced with it.

look into p90x, i was like u in the sets and reps range, now i can do wayyy more. Muscle confusion exercise will take u places u never dreamed of...

    good luck

  • @nickav1987 muscle confusion is a made-up term to sell p90x. save your money and just do some investigating on your own. youll find programs that are more effective than p90x for free

  • When i do pull ups with my hands shoulder width, i do a lot but when wide its definitly harder, can anyone tell me what is the right way, or did i build my back muscles to do more reps with shoulder width?

  • Depends what u want: Chin ups i think are more for biceps n lats, where as pullups are more lat focussed, with wide grip being even better for lats as well as being harder. Well that probably didnt really help lol

  • what if you cant do a pull up.. How can u build twoards being able to do one

  • You can do pull ups with a partner who will hold your legs, while you do pull ups, that way you'll be able to do a few pull ups. Keep working that way until you are a able to do pull ups on your own.

  • they have resistance bands made for these things, not very expensive, ask for them at any sports store

  • jump up into the pull up and then slowly lower yourself down, or just buy some dumbbells and do a hell a lot of bicep curls.

  • is it possible to gain muscle by doing pull ups everyday? i have the iron gym and i do alot of pull ups everyday. should i narrow it down alittle or would i be gaining the way im doing it now?

  • it is possible to build muscle everyday.....but.....doing the same excercises eveyday only creates more problems. Remember 70% of gaining muscle is a heathly diet, 15% training, AND 15% REST!!! I recommend u have intervals of resting days between workouts. This wil improve the form or shape of your muscle, and reduces overtrainning from occuring. Hope that answers your question.

  • ah okay. yeaa that helped alot, thanks. yea i do have resting days, i train during the week and rest on the weekends. is that good enough for rest?

  • Yep!! Thats sounds peerrrrfect..!!

  • Good form!

  • Thats exactly what i was thinking!! Too many people dont actually do the full motion, not going the full length down!!

  • he sounds insecure.

  • cjflo, I just don't even see the point.

  • huh?

  • You're*

  • whatever man haha

  • yeh, you want to avoid locking your joints at the bottom of the pull up. when at the bottom of the pull up, keep your shoulders engaged by pulling your shoulders down. also, keep a bit of tension in your arm muscles so that your elbows don't extend all the way down.

its worth noting that this type of pull up works your lats and mid back as well as forearm, biceps and stabilising muscles

  • With the underhand grip, the biceps come more into play, but unlike what that idiot said below it does not ISOLATE your biceps (there is no way you can curl your body weight lmao). Your back will still do a lot of the work.

  • If you lock out your elbows like that, you will surely get elbow problems sooner than later.

To get a better workout and more strain on your muscles, do what this guy does except don't lock out.

  • Ahaha, coomohit. Learn what a pull up is.

  • Always do it slowly!

  • hey does the pull up hes doing work out the triceps? or the biceps? and if yes which pull trains the bicep/tricep?

  • it works forearms, triceps and your shoulders. chin-ups or underhand pull ups work out your biceps and never lock out your elbows (go all the way down) you wants them to have a slight bend

  • @OMGitsMODAFAUKER neither pullups nor chinups work the tricep, but both work the bicep

  • @rtw2k the triceps is worked in an indirect way. Do a few sets and feel how tight your tris feel

  • @Ikefis I can only assume you're feeling the long head of the tricep, which is a shoulder extensor. If you're feeling the lateral/medial heads, it means you're robbing your elbow flexors of strength.

  • Because an underhand grip is called a chinup.

  • @z0dit Both over and under hand are called chin ups zod. Both are also called pull ups. There's no logical or authoritative reason we should sanction one term for one grip.

  • You can get a headache watching a couple of these videos. 1 guy will tell you do it this way another guy will tell you do it another way. 1 fitness instructor will tell you do them slower and another instructor will say do them faster... There are so many variatious to pull ups and chin ups that you have to pick the ones that are best for the muscles you want to build. Just placing your arms wider than shoulder width make a difference on which muscles are emphasized during the work out.

  • should the arms be shoulder length apart or closer or nearer apart. i want to no how to do the easiest pull up(not chin up) so i can do many in bootcamp

  • just do it how you feel most comfortable i play football and are coaches make us have our arms shoulder length and bend your elbows and kick your legs because it makes you do more

  • GREAT VIDEO,WELL DONE,KEITH

  • Wow, one guy says he's too fast, another explains why he is doing them slow. One says locked elbows are good, another says bad. Maybe this just goes to show everyone that people have different ways of working out? Oh, and another person uses words like "pronated" as if everyone knows what that will mean, so quit trying to sound so smart. And if that is your everyday language, then I will say you may come across as arrogant.

  • omg he's doing it so wrong. I can pull up like 300 pounds.. or no .. wait.. damnit.. this does not apply here

  • Because you weigh 600 pounds and can do half a pull-up?

  • @danharley60 I agree everyone has a variation is exercise techniques, but most people know what pronated means. Using correct terminology isn't arrogant, it's the proper thing to do.

  • @Ikefis Darn straight bro.

  • @danharley60 Understanding what pronation is is easy enough if someone wants to google it. It should be known by anyone concerned about arm development.

  • Amazing how many experts we have on here. Post some vids on workouts you do and maybe we can see what you're talking about. Talk is cheap! Fuck off!

  • Whats wrong with him?He looks pretty muscular. He is doing the pull ups slow so there is more tension on the muscles. And he is using a full range of motion.

  • O ok.I see now.I guess you are right.

  • ur right about locking the arms out. his shoulders should also be kept down not up by his ears.

  • in the marines they make you dead hang like that or it doesnt count.. i guess the marines are wrong.. you should go tell them.

  • the marines are always right!

these guys dont know what they talkin bout

  • you gotta touch the bar with your chest to be a man

  • Sometimes you cant help what happens to you.

As for this guy though... I've seen lots of his other videos. He has absolutely NO clue about exercise or fitness, and obviously got his education from Mucle & Fiction magazine. The fact that he can demonstrate a simple pull up correctly is in itself a major accomplishment for him.

I agree with you 100%. It's guys like this that make good personal trainers seem like idiots.

  • One thing that really gets me about some people out there is this logic that if you're not impossibly big or ripped or shredded or what have you, you dont know what you're talking about.

I'm a doctor of exercise science was a powerlifter and was going for a 600 pound squat and 300 pound bench press when I got slammed by a neurological disorder which completely ended my career. I still teach fitness, but I dont have a body to match and thats really no one's fault.

  • I'd feel honored to train with you, Kasey.

  • well you can still email me at zendreams(at)gmail(dot)com if you have questions ... I still teach.

  • well you can still email me at zendreams(at)gmail(dot)com if you have questions ... I still teach.

  • lol i seen ur site b4

  • I agree with the below, I work within the industry and know alot of very knowedgable PT that look similair. Alot of the IFBB pros are backed up by guys that do not look like anything special. Nice cid for people new to training who want to know how to train, nothing wrong with it. They should also sign up to a site like fitnessuncovered .c o .u k forums or bb. com to learn more.

  • you dont need to be all arnold out to be a good trainer.

    a. he's wearing a baggy long shirt

    b. just because you dont apply it doesnt mean you dont know what your doing.

    c. his pullups are executed perfectly..theyre vertical...full range of motion. what less do you want?

  • mediocre

  • This guy is just bad at life

  • ha!

  • man

  • wtf is wrong with his body hes toned

  • get a body first, then teach others

  • Let's see yours.
