The gift of celery is a very magnanimous gesture, but I think John would have preferred toast. This is purely based on the length of his beard and raised eyebrows. I think you will all agree.
American humour is shockingly poo unless its a movie like dumb and dumber or summat like that..........Friends?? that is so shit,i know what the punchline is before they even say it
@RoyMM46 You're comparing a panel comedy show to a sitcom? A bit unfair, granted I do love English panel shows and standup, American standup and comedy series are funny too, only American's will not understand things like Shooting Stars, it's not in their culture.
@DirEnGay Fair point....i just don't think american sitcoms are funny...i used to like fresh prince and a few others, but i was young and thats why....i change my comment to AMERICAN SITCOMS ARE'NT FUNNY,unless your easily pleased by boring punchlines or a child!!
@RoyMM46 Sitcoms are rarely laugh out loud funny anyway, and they don't really do an equivalent to our 6 episodes per year ones like IT Crowd and The Inbetweeners though I bet most American's would like it. They remade The Office and made it funnier than the original, yet I don't like either, it's just a fact.
They lack panel shows and stuff and it's a great way for comedians to get together and poke fun at other celebrities, I have no idea why they don't have them.

The Brits produce some great programs, Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Bird & Fortune, Mr Bean, but when they get crass they get really crass, like this dog feeding.
C'mon man what are you like 65 years old? Yes Minister? Mr. fucking Bean?
"The Brits" have produced some of the best programs in the history of television but the ones you listed are pretty poor. At least Vic & Bob pushed the envelope.
that poor attempt at a quasi-humorous comeback merely serves to refute your own point, and prove mine, that you know nothing of comedy or you'd grasp the subtleties involved in shooting stars, and that you're a shit for brains. enjoy your hand dickwad.
You got trolled when you responded to my first post. You pretend to be ee cummings and type without capitalization or punctuation. My English is king's English compared to yours.
As for your wit, it is more like shit, which is to be expected because your head is firmly stuck inside your ass.
You always respond to my posts within 2 hrs. I know you are some smelly geek searching for internet porn 24/7 from his mom's basement.
You claim you won't respond. I bet I will get a response in 4 hrs
@drav1dan while your points may be perfectly valid, you demean your so called QUEEN'S English by responding with insults and swearing. I am sure your parents are very proud! Grow up and say nothing if you cant say anything nice! If you must, continue this on your own comment threads, rather than darkening ones attached to BBC videos.
@Thetanomine: Do not butt into conversations that do not involve you. If you must butt in, first borrow a few functioning brain cells and read the entire conversation before spewing out nonsense. My English was quite appropriate for the fellow to whom I was responding. If you can't say anything sensible, keep quiet or get off your high horse and learn to post something relevant.
This is a classic show - I've always thought it is Vic and Bob's best and funniest series. I wish they would bring it out on DVD. Some of the end of quiz games are hilarious! Can anyone remember when Chris Rea was on Shooting Stars - he was completely out of it for the whole show - just sitting there with a blank look on his face and not saying a word.
The Pidgeon had just crapped on them "Vic, Vic can you just have a look down there my moustache has blown off" "Well OK then but you don't have a tache" "Yeah that's cos it's blown off down there under the pidgeon".
