You should've included the witch from Snow White, Frollo from Hunchback, and Hades from Hercules...as well as Ichabod when the Headless Horseman throws the flaming pumpkin at him at the end lol.
sorry to burst your bubble, but number 8, the pirate from PotC didn't die.... he was still under the curse so i think... somehow he survived ;) but nice video anyway ^^
@Spindler2007 The animators wanted to make it clear that Gaston died, since it is questionable to some people. So they put skulls in his eyes to let everyone know he died.
#5 Bambi's mom's death I already where is at she is dead on the snow and why disney deleted that scene after she got shot by the hunters and didn't show her body because the hunters took her body before Bambi old man show and they took her body and they cut it open they ate up the female deer meat out of her before bambi had a chance to find her body and bambi's old man show up.
apparently originally in bambi they were goin to show Bambi find the body of his mum,but it was too sad for kids...would be far worse than simba when he finds mufasa's!
@JonathanHallShow - So true but IMO most of the villains deserved how they died. Most of these villains were complete monsters with no conscience. I appreciate the fact that Disney doesn't hold back. We need to stop babying our kids so much these days, they need some exposure to the real world.
@A86 Yes, the real world. The one with singing animals, anthropomorphic mice, and fairy godmothers! The one we ALL live in, right? Of course, why would it be otherwise!?
@JonathanHallShow - We all know the movie isn't real life. However, because it isn't real life doesn't mean EVERY SINGLE ASPECT about the movie has to be unrealistic. Just like movies meant to be "realistic" (like the new "Batman" movie series) don't have to be perfectly realistic in every single aspect and every single sense. Movies are escapism and thus something will always be unrealistic.
@JonathanHallShow You think these are dark? You should see Tangled! Before she ages rapidly and falls off a roof, the villain stabs the male lead who dies for a few minutes. I was watching it with my cousin's little kids and a friend of mine and she and I both thought it was pretty damn dark for a Disney movie
When I saw The Black Cauldron on the last day of school, I was like "Oh my god! There's no way in hell that this sinister animated film is from disney!" I still find it hard to believe! But it's a great show!
@tsuerosan It is now ingrained in your mind that death fucking sucks and is pretty shitty no? good drama, good story telling, good way to keep your demographic alive.
I don't how the Black Cauldron never scared the crap out of me when I was little, because it sure down now. Oh well, sigh, I miss my childhood, when movies weren't so creepy.
@ChocolateChick98 No, it's because most fairy tales, which a lot of Disney movies are based on, have always had the main character having one parent hence that particular plot point of the original story was always in the Disney movie based on it. There are a few exceptions to this you kinow (eg in Lilo and Stitch, both of Lilo's parents are dead and in the High School Musical movies (and yes I did watch that at one time) the character Gabriella has just her mom and her dad's not present).
I love the vid, and all of them are great. Bambi's death is always made fun of where I'm from and I have to agree... Bambi's mom is good eating. LOL. As for Clayton's death it's awesome and gruesome at the same time.
I always thought it was funny they put skulls in gastons eyes at the part they zoom in on his face when he falls if you look closly and pause at around 2:44 youll see it.
1. With Claytons death, it took me a LONG time to see the shadow after he died, and that he was hanged. It was very recently, and im 14.
2. when bambis mother was running and stuff, I was looking at comments and i heard, "Basterd bambi! Basterd!" when she was saying, "Faster Bambi! faster!" DX
I agree with most of these, but i have 2 major problems with it. 1. Where is Scar? He got EATEN ALIVE, yet he does not get on the list, when all Gaston did was fall? and 2. Where is Frollo? He got dragged into a fiery pit by a demon! Yet he gets beaten by some random guy who got blown up by a bomb? Only 2 big problems, the rest was pretty good, well done.
Black Cauldron is the only Disney film I wasn't allowed to see because my mom thought it looked too scary. I was in high school by the time I finally got around to watching it :)
I wonder has n e 1 ever realized how much violence is really in a child's movie?I mean like Snow White 4 example, getin poisoned by a queen pretendin to be old lady becuz she was to good lookin.Den dat queen ends up dyin by fallin off a cliff wit a huge bolder on top of her.Tangled and Rio were jus as violent.mhm weird right?
What about the incredibles? The villian guy was shredded alive in a plane engine. Lovely. I was watching it when i was like 10 and i was mortified. When a character dies in a disney movie, they have to make it extra horrible. And kids still love it. haha :P
@heygurl2113 holy crap.... i forgot about the beginning dant.... thanks.... now i really cant think of a disney movie that has no deaths... for kids movies they are dark
Cracked.com considers the ones with Ursula, Shan-Yu, Clayton, and Gaston as #s 7, 5, 4, and 3 respectively in the list of 7Most Terrifying Disney Movie Deaths.

Thank you for naming Maleficent's best scene as the #1...even with the arrival of the computer, animators are still trying to top this sequence. It looks amazing and sounds as every bit as climatic of a moment as we could ask for. In defense of Clayton's death, I think why it is a good choice is because we as the audience can feel the "oh shit!" moment when the vine first wraps around his neck and like Tarzan, even though Clayton was cruel and dishonorable we feel compelled to warn him. Good job
@VGRetro When I watched the movie as a kid, I never realized what exactly happened; I just thought he died from a fall... now that I'm older I understand what really happens, and I agree... it is one of the best Disney ViIllan deaths...
