Technically, it's not a Light Saber, of course, though it is essentially the same thing, the difference being that a light saber does not eminate heat unless you're within about a couple millimeters of the laser stick. In this case, however, if you were even a meter under the laser stick it would cause you a nasty little burn, so it is not practical for fighting with.
