  • question for kterrible, did you go to the bottom crawl? Were the kid said he found the coin and saw the door? So has the "Lost Josephine" been re-opened? the last i heard was that it had come under claim But haven't heard of anything about ore values. What does $60 million convert to in modern metals market?

  • Nice video, music is fine... I wait in Catholic hope for the Great 7 Cities of X to be revealed toward the greater glory of God !

  • @ScapularSaves jew.

  • childish. You need to at least get your history right.

  • your music is sooooo gay

  • very nicely done

  • why is every mine a spanish mine... the cabin mine is not a spanish mine!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watch out for man traps they are still around and can still get you killed

  • The Glory Hole isnt a mine, never was. It's a natural cave. Been through it a dozen times top to bottom. The "Lost Josephine" you show is actually the Bear Hole. The marker you show was built summer of 2009 in honor of Gale Rhoades. The 3 Spanish were buried by the big rock in the pines just behind where you were standing but they were dug up years ago. The Glory Hole, Bear Hole and John Youngs cabin site are all under legal claim right now.

  • What are your sources? I've read a lot about the area and this is what I was to understand.

  • My sources on the Glory Hole are that I've been in it as far as you can go plenty of times. It's a hydrothermal solution created cave, theres a bunch of them on Hoyts. The only reason the Glory Hole gets the attention is because it's close to what some believe to be the Josephine. I'm the one who did most of the digging you saw over on the Bear Hole. Theres 2 entrances over there, 1 is a natural cave, the other a man made shaft. They connect. People made money writing books and selling

  • interest on the story of the Garcia Waybill to investors. Thats the only money thats ever been made off of those holes. If you make up a great story, write a few books and tell of milions in gold it's easy to get investors to pay you big bucks to get it opened. You get a good paycheck and dont have to work for a living. My friends Dad was on the mountain when Gale died up there. If you ever want me to take you up and show you the truth I'll be happy to.

  • I would really enjoy that, but I'm going to europe for the next two years. I'm interested to know how Gale Rhoades died.

  • Gale died of a heart attack while up there working on the Bear Hole. There were 3 other men on the mountain with him. Theres plenty of stories of how it all went down but there was only 1 man left up there when they took Gale off the hill, When everyone came back all of Gales documents had disappeared. Good luck in Europe. It wil all still be there in 2 years, we might even have more opened up. Look me up when you get back, if you arent scared of the dark I'l take you down the Glory Hole.

  • So, if the document were gone and they was only one man wouldn't it be easy to identify the thief? And I'll be sure and look you up on my return, I'm not afraid of the dark at all, I've ventured into many mines and caves all over the state.

  • Ya, we all know who it was but it's gone and doesnt matter any more. Theres a lot of history and neat stuff up on Hoyts, I'll show you some of it when you come back. Lots of tree signs that are fake, a few that are real.

  • nice video, well put together/edited. thanks for showing us around and sharing all that great history.

  • Hi I am Mary Young granddaughter of John Young. I went up to the mine last month after 40 years, it's sad the forest service shoved it all in. I did see the glory hole. Where is the cabin mine from this mine? Do you know where the ice cave is that my grandfather stored his meat in? His cabin has also been caved in>

  • Any chance of you providing a map so that we can see the general area? Looks like a nice hike.

  • Very interesting. I live in smyrna sc .back long ago it was a gold mining town wich is unusual for sc. There is a gold mine a half a mile in the woods on our property aparently but i have never found it i have spent so much time looking though. urg
