If precession of the zodiac shift approx 60 degrees over 4000 years, and this is all due to the wobble of the earths axis, why would the position of the sun rise relative to the signs of the Zodiac not also change by 60 degrees as oppose the the half of degree mentioned in tis video?

4000 years ago huh? For some reason I think that would be slightly more impressive if I weren't Jewish... You know... Judaism has sort of been around for 5,771 years, so...
@Dragonmuphin Lots of things have been continuous for thousands of years, religion having been around forever. We're not talking religion here are we, we're taking megalithic temples. What great jewish temples are there now that are as old as the religion itself?
@PERROkantner It's true though. It's clear that it was built by people in Britain before the La Tene (Celtic) culture spread from the European mainland to Britain. However, you are right about the sun worship just being a theory, but it seems the most logical, as does it being used for ancestor worship.
@AnAuldDubliner They knew the Earth was round, religion just claimed to know the answers and when people asked they were like "Earth is flat and stands on 4 pillars made by God. Oh and sky, yeah that's water.
There is no doubt that Stonehenge was designed to face the midwinter sunset, the archaeological evidence below ground shows the massive uprights of the Great Trilithon to have been the first of major arrays to have been constructed. The flat faces of this midwinter trilithon were raised from the inside - towards the winter sun, all the others look inwards. Next time you look at a photo of Stonehenge, just note that each stone has a flat and rough face; it tells us quite a lot.
interesting point you make, hadn't noticed and ive been to it! wasnt allowed by the national trust to get close to it,after paying £8 admission! what was it used for?
English Heritage protect the monument today, not the National Trust. £8 admission? Last time I knew (yesterday) it was £6-60. Did you bother to ask them where the money goes before you sulkily comment? It finances not only the maintenance, power & cost of running a site which gets 1 million people a year, but 400 other sites. It goes to financing education, excavation & lab research & also gives monetary grants to people who own listed buildings,so they have money to carry out repairs.
Ok, but you put a '!' after the price, which isn't what it costs. It made it seem like you were complaining about the price. Did you not take a guide book or free audio guide? I'm curious why you should be asking what it was used for having had the chance to find out? You probably won't find out much asking on a You Tube thread. Lots of books & information out there...
in way i was complaining that we paid yet couldnt get close to it, yet on the solstices loads of drunks are allowed to climb all over it! also i was asking for opinions on what they thought it was used for, do you think you know?because you would be the first in a few thousand years, its all conjecture no matter how believable the theory.
As I say, there are dozens of decent books out there to read. What are your theories? It's a matter of interpretation of the evidence, but there's no big mystery. It's a lazy answer, I've spent hundreds of hours at the henge. You'd be better off reading some archaeological books than listen to what is, largely, uninformed opinion on you tube.

Stonehenge was built by Ice Age Proto-Celts.
It was used for sun worship, and also to celebrate the return of their ancestors.
