I agree with anyone who said the Great Ashoka should not be use as dancing hero in movie, but as an example - of a ruler who stood alone in his wisdom and humanity - in a time when slavery and brutality of all kind was the accepted norm. He changed from a 'normal' bloody ruler to an exceptional one, who ruled for decades without wars. Ashoka truly stands alone and far above any of the so-called 'great' leaders whose 'greatness' were only measured in how many they managed to kill.

well he might have not danced around with kareena in caves but he certainly had a lot of queens to start with. It is only after the kalinga war that he became ashoka the great/noble; before that he was as normal as any king with torture chambers and multitude of queens.
