The Lord Jesus Christ died on the Cross so you, could be freed from the chains of Satan and released from his power. God showed you his love, and his mercy by taking your place on the cross! If you reject his death for your great wickedness! It will be your fault you end up in hell. I hope and pray that you will consider what God, manifest in the flesh did for you on calvary, before its everlastingly to late.
@Joshuajlawn While I am interested in the spiritual matters and while I do NOT consider myself an atheist, I wonder what kinds of effects the authoritarian and contrived theology of Christian fundamentalism can have on the mind. Imagine a following scenario: a dictator declares that every single citizen in his nation isn't innocent enough to not deserve capital punishment. However, he has himself whipped painfully in the front of the people.( to be continued)
@Joshuajlawn (continued from the previous post - post 2) Now he declares that he has suffered a punishment for their crimes and all they need to do is to show that they accept his "gift" by bowing in the front of him and kissing his boot. Those who do not are accused of refusing his "gift" and executed for being "criminals". Does he "show his love" by giving them an exit? (to be continued in the post 3)
@Joshuajlawn (continued from post 2 - post 3) Isn't his decision to condemn his people to death for their (real or imagined) flaws still wrong even if he gives them an exit in such a manner and even suffers for that? Is his suffering proportional to the threat of death penalty looming over his people? Is Jesus' supposed temporary suffering on the cross proportional to the permanent suffering in the hell? (to be continued in the post 4)
@Joshuajlawn (continued from post 3 - post 4) If the human flaws of these people aren't sufficiently good reason for the dictator to execute them all on the spot, why would they be sufficiently good reason to send these people to hell for eternity? Is dictator better than his people? Is he worse? Would God be better than humans even after killing 70000 people with plague due to king's unapproved census. Does dictator have any moral authority beyond "I say so! I have the POWER!"? Does God have?
