@MrFreeman223 Doran's not a boss, just CAN be a difficult type of enemy that is much like a regular person or npc from the nexus or that you can find all around (like... Scirver or Miralda). Bosses are only the Demons at the end of each section like Phalanx, Man eater, etc. They also show their life bar on the bottom of the screen rather than just over their heads. Dragons are also not bosses but more like mini bosses.

1:get world tendency down to pure black in world 2 then go to 2-2 and find scirvir's black phantom kill it and he drops it

2:get character tendency down to pure black and go to the second level of the nexus (after you have killed yurt the scilent chief) and a girl with a gold mask and stupid voice will be there you have to do hitman missions for her on is ostrava kill him and you get it but u must kill urbain and freke befor

@UndeadTurk there are 2 places to get that shield, it's heavy as shit tho so be sure you have enough burden to carry it or you will lose it if it'l over burden you...check the demon souls wiki...its called the tower shield

I like to use firespray on him in hypermode (equip morions blade,clever rats ring and yellow catalyst)just run around him in a circle and keep firespray on he goes down quick. You can also you the bow method in hypermode you can also poison him but it takes a while.

An easy way to kill him is to equip thiefs ring, wear no armor, and wait till he turns around. Walk up the stairs, shoot him with poison cloud and his health slowly goes down. He doesnt even notice you. Cast it 6 or 7 times and he's dead, takes about 10-15 mins though

Last night I skunked him really quick. I started with the rings just like your video, but when he turned away I equiped with clever rat ring and magical sharpness. Also I have monk's head collar. Anyway, all I did was cast homing soul arrow twice, and he was dead. It couldn't have taken more than 10 seconds to beat him.

@superjakedavies that was the old trick to defeat him. Your able to shoot arrows at him once the cut scene is over but don't go too close or he'll notice you. Your only able to bring him down to half health before he comes after you.

Wait did his health not show up when you entered. Everone think if you shot arrows at him with the theif ring he won't notice you so calculate his health which is 5969 you would need 600+arrows and wala he is dead.

Can be done with poison cloud also... instead of doing Homing Soul Arrow you just do poison cloud 6 times and he's dead... it's really slow but if you only have poison cloud it works as well. And no need of Graverobber's ring check demonssouls.wikidot.com

This is patched, please update.

Death Cloud no longer has any effect on bosses. However it is still possible to sneak up with just thiefs ring, and poison cloud him to death. takes about 10 minutes, but a viable way to beat him if you want to make kraft dinner while making progress :)

i would like to point that first of all you in no way need the graverobbers ring, it is bassically a useless ring all around. second there is an even easier way to beat him and faster to. just have the clever rats ring and a good bow with pref. around 25 or so dex. enter the fog and STOP then manually aim at his head and fire away untill he dies or stops taking damage(his big health bar will not show up so you have to watch his little bar over his head).

@Soulvirus020 I'm not sure if it works the same in PvE as it does against BPs, but I've personally tested the Thief/Graverobber's combo in PvP and discovered that 1) Both rings have exactly the same effect, and 2) the two rings do -not- stack with each other against other players. With both rings equipped on the host (my friend), he still became visible to me (the invader) at the exact same distance as when he was only wearing one or the other.

Theres a much easier way, I might upload it later when I feel like playing the game again. Just use thiefs and when you enter the fog, enter on the left side and just stand still and send arrows on him. He wont do anything. You have to send arrows over the edge without seeing him tho, so it might take a while to get the aim right

@cp25stack the us version was just made so that death cloud wouldnt work. asian version got the patch, which is reversable by going to the data save for the game. us version has no save data other then the game file.

ITs not just moving soularrow, after a few minutes exposed to death cloud, King Alant wont be able to move. Hit him with anything you got for all I care. Even shield bash him to death and he wont move.
