Heya Jeff.. Don't buy into the "End" nonsense with the Mayans.. (btw.. as many have said, it's supposed to be Dec 21, 2012.. yer a bit early.) The whole thing is based on incredibly shoddy scholarship plus a hefty amount of "internet bs".. Yeah, one of the cycles of the Mayan Calendar "ends" on Dec 21, 2012.. and yeah, it's one of the bigger cycles... but it's 1) far from the biggest of the cycles, and 2) not an "end".. it's literally just the same as 2011 ending... and 2012 beginning.

Jeff, The world wasn't supposed to end in 1999. it was supposed to cause massive damage to anything associated with a computer with a two digit year/date, as no one knew for sure if the computer was going to see it as 00 (year zero all over again) or 2000.
