Man I wish I could find this game again. I wish game developers would start creating the point, click, and type games again just like this and King's Quest. Retro games are making a huge comeback, I wish these types of games would too. Of course I've been out of the PC gaming environment for so long I don't know what I'm talking about I guess and there could be games like this still being sold.
Let's face it: That's one of the best family friendly adventures ever made! We should all email Al Lowe and tell him he has to make a second part of it!
I need some help in identifying the soundtrack used in this trailer, I have heard before used in a swedish television series but I was never able to identify it. Can anyone help?
This should have been turned into an Animated Movie. I bought this game as I was sort of meddeling in the idea of getting back into gaming after the 80s. Had so much fun with it. I love these puzzle type point and click games.
im 14...... this was the best game i ever played wen i woz little.......... i still have it but it wont run i love this game!!!!!!! it rocks!!!!!!! can anyone tell me the link between the kings quest and this plz?
They just don't make games like they used to. These classic ones had such better storylines than some of the playstation 3 crap that's getting churned out.
@elaurenta King's Quest, and The Black Cauldron were my first PC games. There was also another very odd one called "In Search Of The Most Amazing Thing." I picked it up at Babages. Remember that store? :) I miss all the games. Then I got more into Atari, NES, Sega.. then totally stopped for a while. Torin's Passage, and Jedi Knight were two games that got me back into the PC gaming circuit. Then I bought the Kings Quest compilation that just rocked all that could rock in the mid to late 90s
That was back when I handful of artists and programmers could create a game. Games that actually had personality because they did need a team of 100 people and a $50 million budget. its really sad that that era of gaming is over :(
I loved this game so much. It was the first animated PC game I had played. I remember thinking, "Man they can't get any more advanced than this in games" when I was playing it. The animation and responsiveness / interactivity back then was just too cool. I loved the goofiness in it too. There was a part where an old creature kept Torin out of some entrance. Torin would ask questions and he never had a good answer. He'd just reply with something like, "OH . . well YEAH, NEVERMIND!"
I feel the same way as you. I remember many parts such as the play, the crying tree, getting pieces of a puzzle, and etc. It was the first game I truly delved into. I did all the puzzle up till the end where I got confused. I was just floating around after being thrown into prison, but I never understood what to do.
i love this game its a classic and if u want it it to run on xp just right click on it go to properties compatibility and click on everything in display settings
A childhood favorite! If I'm really lucky, it's still lying around somewhere (though I seriously doubt it). I would love to play that game again if only for a few days.
My favourite game ever! <3

Such a shame gaming has declined so much in recent years. This beats any 360/PS3 game hands down.

I agree 100%
I grew up on games like this, Kings Quest, Space Quest and Monkey Island- games that were story driven, rather than graphics.

Certainly a major improvement over King's Quest VII in terms of use of hand drawn animation.
