i think they switched whistles on her, it definitely sounds higher than the one she had back in '02 or '03 (i like that one personally, especially cause it was my 1st drgw narrow gauge whistle to hear!) it changed sometime between 03 and 06 as far as i know.
I honestly don't know. I don't work for the C&TS, im just another enthusiast who loves that particular railroad. I hope they still have it, it sounded great. 488 has a very similar whistle to 487's old one (not the same) thats all i know
