  • Who ever thinks classical music "sucks" is from hell.

  • A Great piece by the greatest composer who ever lived, Handel to him we bow the knees.

  • Outstanding......Awesome.......Brillant

  • Sadly this exemplary ouverture does not appear in the edition of the Resurrezione published by Novello. However it is present in the other (conductor) edition - can't remember the publisher.

  • Very nice. Maybe change the beginning to: "then YOU have failed" :O!

  • mille mercis, sieu Popaprock

  • la pièce la plus joyeuse au monde, une renaissance aprés chaque écoute..

  • you are great ! a lot of composers in the past are Christians .... & they wrote a lot of music related to the religion . And i do believe that classical music + paintings bring us to the highest level in Spirituality .. i myself love Handel's Messiah very much

  • Yo tyambien amo a Händel, asi que feliz Pascua de resurrecion saludos desde caracas!

  • suora58, I would join you in giving honor to our Handel who was the very best. To bad not many know that he was the abosolute best ever.

  • you have not failed at all, society has failed allowing the dumming down of the young. I am a huge Handel fan. Being Black that was not easy at first but I got over the idiots and enjoy the hell out of Handel. I have this very recording at home. The arrangement of Handel's music is beyond compare. He was the very best all time composer to me, just listen and I'm sure you'd agree. I love it!

  • With such a music and such a theme how could you fail!?

"Händel is the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel on his grave." L.van Beethoven.

    This speaks by itself...

  • This is great! I like this, so you've not failed=)

  • boooring !

  • Hmmm... Naughty naughty naughty! We Decca still own the rights to this even though its no longer in print. Since it isn't in print any longer and is not likely to be ever again, I suppose I won't make too much of a fuss over it. The overature really is nothing compaired to what Em did right after it. In the name of full disclosure I supose I should admit that I didn't play on this recording because Handel did not write a viola part.

  • Once he said: "Only boring people find things boring."

  • Version of the ouverture to oratorio "Il Trionfo del Tempo e della Verita" (1737) (cond. by Joachim Carlos Martini, Frankfurt Barokorkester), sounds realy better.

  • Shit man, Fantastic, if anyone does not get this they are short on the IQ road. By the way, Handel`s IQ has been rated at 160.

  • Dude, you have not failed!!

I love Handel and always will:D

  • agreed!

  • I feel resurrected after listening to this.

  • It will not be you that have failed - it will be the dull listener in possession of cloth ears.

  • Hear, hear.

Hogwood, for the win - I didn't realise he was still the big boss at the AAM.
