Disagree. That's just a view pedalled by some Top Gear presenters who dislike Audis. Independant Car buyer research has confirmed that the typical BMW buyer is frighteningly similar to the driver in the advert than BMW would wish to admit. The ultimate driving machine ? - Does a company need to tell us they are that good if they were ?

Its wierd, I specifcally rember the RS4 scoring lowest on the Cock-O-Meter compared to the M3/C63 but later on in other episodes they said Audi owners are cocks. I don't get it, all I know is I love my A4.

As a callow youth in the mid 90's when this add came out I remember that this anti hero ad backfired on Audi- what young bloke would not want to be him as opposed to a Saab driving dentist or Architect. I even moved to London after watching this- 13 years later I'm still here( although don't drive an audi ;-) ) Thanks for posting this up though- takes me right back

Audi now make the classic understated sophisticated car. To be fair, BMW's drive really good with their rear wheel drive set up, but too many fat middle aged tossers drive them too.

One of Audi's best adverts and a brilliant stereotype of a typical BMW driver without actually saying so, but then arrogant manufacturers breed similar owners. Discreet german engineering without shouting about - that's why I bought an S4 !!!

I love it. So true. Audi doesn't scream "im a wall street whore". Those people buy mercedes and bmws. Audi owners buy them for the love of exceptional engineering and an amazing ride (safe too!). Owners like me ;)
